battery level indicators

hi,
in RTF phantom 2 vision+ there is a battery level indicator where you can view from your iphone. How do i do that if i build my own f450?

thx for ur reply, all i want to have is the battery level (probably in percentage) to be viewed from my screen while i am doing my FPV thing. is there any extra component needed for the OSD?

Most OSD's should do that, although they show the battery voltage rather than a percentage. If you get one with a current sensor they will show the exact amount you have taken out of a lipo (in mah).
