The local PBS up here Vermont runs BBC and then PBS news hour back to back. The BBC had a segment highlighting DJI showcasing their Inspire at a field "way outside Las Vegas" so they could fly outdoors, and of course away from the crowds.
The PBS news hour had a really nice segment about the use of "drones" in Peru for mapping and documenting their precious artifacts and ruins. Very positive piece, highlighting a productive and valuable use of the technology. Apparently they've been using this for quite some time - but perhaps have recently stepped up their game. The coverage showed the use of a DJI S1000 and a some other octos, as well as a Phantom.
Nice to see some positive news coverage - despite being on the less viewed public outlet. Sadly, there was no mention of the craft having a near-miss with a commercial plane, so it will likely go unnoticed by CNN.
