So Rob, if I had a 3D printer and wanted to make my own case for the PX4 would I be giving up any future improvements like the Spline Nav I keep hearing about?
No, I can't see any reason at all why you would give up any potential by using a PX4 instead of a Pixhawk. But just to be sure you're aware, the Pixhawk is readily available now and comes with a nice case.
