anyone use the tarot gimbal for gopro?

I am trying to get a tarot gimbal working on a 3dr x8 and am having fits. I inherited this project and had to order a new programmer cord off ebay to connect to the gimbal. The program will connect and disconnect from the gimbal constantly and I dont know it the patch cord it bad, or the program not working with my laptop properly. Can someone give me some advise or can I send you my cord to test if it is bad or not?

I don't thinks its your cable, do you have any pics of the gimbal?

Here are a couple pics of the gimbal. I'm wondering if it is an issue with Windows 10. It will also shut down the program and I have to open it back up repeatedly.
