Anyone here using a PhotoShip One gimbal mount for F550?

Ordered one for my F550, but I'm not sure what to expect in terms of flight by hanging all the weight on the bottom.

I usually fly with my flight pack on the top centered with a wire mount GoPro on the bottom, but now that I have a brushless gimbal, I wanted to be able to push the camera forward to avoid props in my footage and balance it out with the flight pack in the rear.

Is there anything I should be weary of in terms of flight characteristics?

I havent used those but if the LG is made from that super flexible plastic, like the Xaircraft ones, stay away from them. They will amplify any vibrations you have and will vibrate with wind or fast flying. Other than that they look fine. the balancing aspect of it is nice.

wow, those look amazingly similar to my leg extensions I sell!

Very close mine are made of Titanium and the rubber tips were added to keep them from sliding off my heilpad, I have been using these for about 2 years.

Well, my order came in from EBay and instead of the Photoship One, they sent me a cheap universal landing gear set :dejection:

Called their customer service number on their website and got a recording that said if it was an EBay issue to message them through EBay (great) :upset:

Sorry for the delay.

The seller shipped me the wrong landing gear set, but did right by me by shipping the right one out the next day and let me keep the first set

I guess now I have an excuse to build another

The CF main tubes seemed a bit too large for the clamps and I had to force each one in place.

It was so tight that I probably could've went without using the clamp bolts.

Balanced out really nice with just a little battery movement.

Also, since I wanted to use a standard stick on GoPro clip mount, I had to bolt on a flat piece of CF to the "X" mounting plate.

I have a set of Carbon props balanced and ready to install, but it's way too windy to fly right now

OK, the wind died down just enough for me to get a test flight in and it lasted about 10 seconds.

Sticks felt very twitchy and unstable :upset:

I managed to bring her down without tipping, but just barely.

Could it be that there's just too much weight on the bottom of this setup?

FWIW, the balance front to back is set perfect if I hold the tips of the side arms.

I'm using that setup, works out pretty well.. It's very light and barely gets in the video unless I'm pointing the GoPro all the way down..
