Still watching backlog of Dakar Rally footage, so no spoilers please!
This race has always featured tons of full-scale helicopter chase-cam footage, but this year I noticed a lot of really close aerial footage which were obviously done with by drone. It looks really good, and I'm impressed with the speed of the aircraft. In some of the ground footage, you can see an Octocopter is being used.
Just curious if anybody knows who was shooting it.
It's actually a pretty good example of how drones can get different type of footage than you can on a full-scale heli. The only problem is quite often the drone can't stop or turn to follow the course (should use a UAV helicopter...) and end up flying out over the crowd at the end of a run.
