Any fans of XHeli.com here?

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Hi everyone,
I'm considering adding an XHeli.com ad to the left margin but I want to make sure they're a company we as a group do business with and not someone that makes a habit of providing bad service.
The ad would be a commission based ad like the current GoPro ad. Commission based ads only generate income for the site when people click on them and then place an order.
XHeli.com sells GensAce and Blue brand LiPo's as well as Gaui and MinAirUSA multi-rotors. They also offer a full line of helicopters and planes. I've bought from their related hobbypartz.com website and everything has generally gone well and has been of good quality. I'm really only interested in having reputable companies present at the site so I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer.
Any opinions on XHeli.com?
Thanks,
Bart

I have used that company a couple times - they seem fine - I have used them for odds and ends, nothing major.

I purchased trexpro 450 clone from them, all went well, delivery was quick to Canada. I know of someone else who had a good experience with them as well (complete heli package).

thanks guys. I've mostly purchased batteries from them and am probably going to standardize on GensAce going forward. I've been itching to buy an electric heli now that I have these kinda-sorta-heli skills and I've always flown planes.
Question: What size electric heli would use the 4S, 20-25C, 5000 mah packs that I use for my multi-copter?
Thanks,
Bart

For a battery that size you're looking for a Trex 500 size at the minimum. I use the same 3S packs for the 350mm quad and my Trex 450. No way the 450 would take a 4S pack, at least not the ones I use, and it would likely be way too nose heavy if you did find one that fit.

I've been flying the little Trex again and finding flying a heli is significantly different from flying a multi, even if you feel really comfortable on a multi be prepared to start all over again with a heli. You will definitely have an advantage with multirotor expeience but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to fly a heli straight away with no problem, I had a heck of a time getting the Trex off the ground the first time I flew it again after not touching it for a year, helis have a tendency to torque to the side on take off quite unlike a multi...

it'll be a while before i have any spare cash for a model helicopter, i was more curious than anything else. i've embarked on the new okto build plus I've got the site mascot to finish building (shhh, secret!) so money's tight.
