Hey guys,

As many of you know, I have been building out a tricopter with the copter control board from Open Pilot for some time now. I've finally got it flying well and put the FPV gear all back on last weekend. The experience was amazing and I can't stop thinking about FPV now. It's becoming an addiction I believe since I can't even drive down the highway without looking out at the fields and thinking about flying FPV in them.

My current set up is a little limiting with pretty short range (100mW tx with whip ant), but I have some backup on the way. First off I ordered the larger ImmersionRC 600mW tx for more power. Beyond that I wanted to upgrade the antenna that I was using. I ended up going with something new that seems to be pretty ideal for FPV. It's a new antenna design called Cloverleaf & Skew-planar wheel. Have any of you seen or know much about these? They were pretty cheap so I figured I would give it a try. If anyone has any experience with this set up, I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Good idea, Crash. I was thinking that for testing purposes it would serve me best so I can actually measure the difference.
