1. what do i need to fly it (i have a dx6i)
2. what will it cost
3. what is the best setup for long flight time (esc, battery, prop, motor) lifting an fpv system and a gopro
4. the programming is confusing me how do i program it
5. can i make it auto land back where the naza was booted up.

2 posts in 5 minutes? You are obviously excited to get flying. The questions you ask are so abundant on here it may very well be the number 1 question. I would recommend doing some searches. If you still cant find what you are looking for then I'm sure people will be more likely to chip in and help. In short, yes, dx6i is enough for a naza/f450. Cost will be around $1200-1500 by the time you've added lipos and chargers and a gopro. NAZA has RTH(return to home). You program them by pluggin into a PC. Dont worry about FPV for now. get a simulator, get confident flying. Then practice with the f450 within line of sight.

Ditto to what IrisAriel wrote. I have had all my 450 parts in for a long time and I'm still a month away from seeing it fly successfully. I had to relearn how to solder and get the soldering tools. My project is delayed because I destroyed several sets of connectors just learning to create the primary battery lead from the distributor plate. Then I used up all the 12 AWG wire I had. More wire and connectors will be here next week. I've studied the websites and the forum threads for months. There is so much to learn. Read the sticky posts on this forum. Old dudes like me ought to be in a hurry. Me, I'm not. Younger hobbyists don't ever have to be in a hurry. LOL

i am not a first time flier. i have many planes and a few multis. ( walkera ladybird with on board camera and experimental fpv system, and i had a gaui 330xs but i scrapped that and used the motors for planes.) currently i feel that i am experienced enough to fly the f450. the reason i scrapped the 330xs was because the board took a dump and fried. also i thought the motors were insufficient for (i only got 5 mins of flight with 10x4.7 props and a 3s 2200mah lipo. i do know the lipo is not the problem. so i figured that i would get the dji.

For flight time I am getting a solid 9 minutes with a 3300 mah 30c battery (80% capacity used). I have a GoPro 1 and AWG is a little over 1500gms. I am using 2216-900KV T-Motors, you should be able to get a little more time with the DJI 2212-920 KV. If your not tied into the DJI motors, I recently built a F450 for a friend and used SunnySky 2216 - 900 motors. A much better motor than the Dji's IMHO and around the same price.
