Eagle Eye Imaging
I folks. I use the DJI 5.8 MHz transmitter/receiver combo. Quality and range is good, but I get lots of drop outs. Video disappears briefly. Does anyone have any tips for improving transmission and reception? The Tx is mounted at the rear of my craft, pointing downwards. The Rx sits in a belt pack at my side. I am planning to extend the aerial wire on the Rx and mount it higher, perhaps on a short pole above my head to see if that helps, wonder if anyone has experience. The belt lack holds the battery for my screen, which is mounted to the controller, as well as the receiver pack.
Additionally I'd like a second receiver. Shall I get another Tx/Rx set and have a spare Tx? The second receiver will be fitted to a screen in the van for aerial survey work or simply for a creative to view the footage whilst it is shot.
Another off off the wall idea I had was to have a receiver mounted on a mast on the van, perhaps 6ft or 10ft above the van. Then to bounce this signal on the the receiver. Any thoughts on that mad cap idea?
