THE DRONEVIBES PODCAST

YES you heard it right! The FAA has released, just hours ago, the Rules For Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems entitled Part 107. This has finally paved the way for commercial operations for drone pilots without the need for a Section 333. In this episode we breakdown the 107 and talk to drone lawyers, Steve Hogan and Peter Sachs.

Hey Petr, if I get a 107 cert, do the same commercial rules apply on days that I'm flying for fun as a hobbiest?

I've got a 333 exemptions, but no pilot license yet. I'm considering waiting for the 107 program to alleviate the pilot lessons. I have no time for pilot lessons, and I think it's pointless anyway. But the same question, if I did have my pilot license, would I always fly as commercial, or can I enjoy the rules of the hobbiest when I'm flying for fun, non commercial?

BTW, nice episode #94. I'm sure many newbies are asking those questions. Good job covering the first time buyer questions on craft selection.
