    Cold affect Naza???

Last weekend, while waiting to video a couple of thousand people doing the "Polar Bear Plunge" here in Annapolis, my hex sat out in the 25 degree cold for about an hour. When the plunge started, I took off, and my hex immediately started an uncontrollable yaw, doing circles. I was afraid if I...

Tony, can you explain or take a picture of how you hooked up the bec and wiring for the gimbal? I have the aeroxcraft schematic, but not sure what the best way is to go about it.

Peter, haven't quite gotten that far along, as the Graupner 10 x 5's fit perfectly on the stock 550 except for the washer thingy. Clue me in here...reaming vs. drilling...always looking for good info...

I wish I had known.... F550 purchase, build and first flights..

Tony, I did it the hard way. Disconnected all the motors from the Naza except the one I was balancing. ESC's beeped alot, but I tuned that out. Tied my Iphone onto the arm with a nylon zip tie, and put a couple of the small zipties together with the heads about 1/2" apart and slipped it over...

Just an update on my 550 build and a question.... Had the aeroxcraft gopro2 gimbal attached but not working (my gopro3 fit fine...just needed a little foam to fill the case), but was getting major Jello effect on the video. Bought a prop balancer, and to my surprise, some of the Graupner props...

tmcmurran... The one video that got me over the hump and into the air is this one from Pacific Coast Hobbies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=592EA86i6QU See if it helps. Make sure your connections are the same as theirs. Listen for the part when he talks about them. Sounds to me like your...

Not sure what you're looking for configuration wise. I do know it was frustrating as hell getting everything working correct so I feel your pain. By hold in position, do mean altitude or is it wandering horizontally. Are you familiar with the altitude hold problem with the NAZA (I'm assuming...

Hal, take this for what it's worth as I'm also a newb, just a little further along than you. But from what I've read on the forums, I'm picking up that the 8 x 5's are better for more manuverability and hot-doggin. I'm looking for maximum lift for aerial photos, hence the 10's. If you have...

mmurfitt....can you post a pic of your 550? Wanna see what ya got and where... I agree on the instuction manuals, or lack thereof!! I feel like most of my build instructions has come off of youtube, and I don't think we should have to spend hours trolling the videos looking for how to do...

Hal, I'd try just reheating the blobs. They should reshape into a nice round ball. And I used my weller on 5 for the entire project, and once again, make sure your tip clean as a whistle.

Hal, my 2 cents..... put more solder on those pads. Heat em up and they should form a nice smooth ball.

mmurfitt, maybe I'll do that, thanks. You mentioned you're getting OSD. You going FPV? That's my next buy, but at this point I'm a little overwhelmed by the choices.

Hal, I'm just a little ahead of you on the build. My 550 is flying but is still a work in progress. Your soldering iron is fine. Same one I have and worked great. Just keep the tip clean. Wire guage??? I started with 10 guage for my battery leads, but after I tinned it, it wouldn't fit...

I wish I had known.... F550 purchase, build and first flights..

Hey thanks for the response. Just got back from flying and with the gains down, still have a very slight wobble. Don't know how that will translate to the go-pro gimbal yet as it's waiting to be built. After reading your response you've made me realize that I need to systematically...

Question guys....My 550 is built and flying. Everything works as advertised, but I'm getting some wobble in a hover. Not the toilet bowl, but just a little wobble that needs to go away. I'm playing with the gains but it's still doing it. I do have stock (unbalanced) props...waiting on my...
