    SP Racing F3 + Frsky D4R-II Issues

:) Was on IRC #multirotors and user, OhmEye spotted the issue. I had was plugging the Rx into the 3 leads I has soldered on to the FC, on UART3 - problem is PPM was on a different set of pins. See image showing below. Per the manual the PPM was sent over IO_1. Simply plugged the Rx into the...

    SP Racing F3 + Frsky D4R-II Issues

Okay I am completely stumped. Using a FrSky D4R-II Rx and attempting to bind with my Taranis X9D Plus. After the bind process the green LED (the Rx) is solid; indicating a successful binding. However when I open Betaflight and connect the battery and go to the Receiver screen, when I move...

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

I had and really liked Naza. I am selling my setup (Naza V2, PMU, LED, GPS, S-OSD) as I am going more into FPV Racing. If you're interested in my Naza let me know.

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

On my old Dynam radio, there was a knob that allowed for some fine tuning. This was an old radio that I had laying around and unsure how you would accomplish the same on a different radio.

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

I had a similar issue previously; turned out the travel values (on the transmitter) were not completely set. Basically, when I'd attempt to ARM (pulling the stick to the lower right) it wasn't registering enough to the right. Was able to adjust the travel values and get it to ARM. This was...

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

Okay, ended up getting a 250 build as far as flying. To this point I have not done anything in regards to the FPV stuff other than order my VTx and Camera. Once we're moving in that direction I would like some assistance in wiring things up.

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

Naza V2 w/ GPS and iOSD. I went ahead and also purchased a Naze32 Acro. Figured it wouldn't hurt to get some exposure to different FCs.

    How many channels

For a DJI Hexacopter? I assume 7, 1 for each motor and 1 aux?

Honey Badger - #3 Motor issue (video)

I decided to try another ESC Calibration; it worked. Since the 2nd calibration I haven't experienced the issue at all. It is possible I did not properly perform the initial calibration. The HB is flying perfectly now.

Honey Badger - #3 Motor issue (video)

I took the top plate off, exposing all the wiring, and wiggled and pushed on all connections...not a single issue. Surely as much as I was wiggling and poking around I should have seen the issue, one would think. Something odd I noticed, or maybe not odd, but this doesn't have a power...

Honey Badger - #3 Motor issue (video)

Before I go that route, is it possible the power (battery) wires could cause some issue or interference? When I got the HB the power leads were a different connector than the battery I had. I snipped off the connectors and replaced with what matched my battery. I soldered and heat shrunk and...

Honey Badger - #3 Motor issue (video)

It would appear that is the issue. When the motor is spinning and I pull one of the 3 wires it immediately goes into a staggered state, clicking back/forth attempting to spin CW and CCW. Never makes a rotation, just clicks sporadically. This means now I have to try and find the shorted...

Honey Badger - #3 Motor issue (video)

I have a motor and ESC; but wonder if I would fry them trying to test it out. How would I test it out too? Get the motor going and run a jumper between to connectors?

Honey Badger - #3 Motor issue (video)

Yea, its definitely a mystery. The actual video when taken was over 6 minutes, I cut out the first 3 minutes as there wasn't ANY symptoms of issue. Thought may it had to do with length of time in flight, lack of power, etc - I am new and trying to eliminate anything I can think of. Then I...

Honey Badger - #3 Motor issue (video)

From a physical observation I have reviewed all the wiring and its all snug, clean and heat shrink in place. I am leaning toward ESC calibration as well. Yesterday, before I flew it I performed a ESC calibration with the help of my wife. I don't think she held the buttons down the entire...

Honey Badger - #3 Motor issue (video)

New to RC and multirotors. Purchased a Honey Badger and all seems fine, however I am running into an issue with the quad dropping or losing power on the #3 motor. Basically it'll fly fine, then all of a sudden it will dip hard in the lower right corner, not necessarily crashing, but a...

    Somewhat related..

Recently discovered how much fun quads are. Been itching to continue with the 2016 Group Build and have a nice platform when ready. Been flying my Hubsan indoors non-stop and happy to say I can keep it in the air without crashing; still very basic flying, nothing fancy. Anyway, pulled the...
