Looks like we may have dodged a bullet.

If you are using your multi for commercial purposes it applies. The scary part is the provision for additional rules/restrictions.

A2 triple Yellow flash. Motors won't start.

SleepyC, Tuomas P. - You are correct, sirs. The A2 will not function without the GPS puck. This is a brand new A2 that came with the old "Pro" puck. It wouldn't do anything even with that puck installed. (Got the triple flash) It came with the latest firmware installed which I guess will not use...

A2 triple Yellow flash. Motors won't start.

I just put an A2 on my hex. But, after the power up LED sequence I get 3 rapid yellow flashes repeating continuously and the motors will not start. It does this with or without the TX powered up. It shows a good link with TX (when on) and everything responds correctly in assistant (v 1.9). Even...

NAZA V2 Random loss of GPS lock in flight.

Update: The GPS puck was fine. The problem ended up being the PMU. It has an intermittent internal problem. Swapped the PMU and all is back to functioning correctly.

NAZA V2 Random loss of GPS lock in flight.

Bart - Yes. Same location. Yes, I do GPS cal everytime I change locations even if it's only different by a couple of miles. But calibration shouldn't have an effect on reception. My connections are dabbed AND wiring tied to prevent movement but not to introduce tension. Steve - Rules = LOL My...

NAZA V2 Random loss of GPS lock in flight.

Yeah, Bart. I do. But even so, nothing was done to the craft besides the firmware upgrade and this wasn't happening before.

NAZA V2 Random loss of GPS lock in flight.

Has anyone else had a problem with the NAZA V2 with 4.06 losing GPS lock? My last 3 flights after upgrading to 4.06 I had the GPS show (in flight) from steady green LED flashes to randomly getting 3 red, back to all green, 2 red, 1 red, back to green, stay green for a few, back to 2 red, etc...

Flew my drone through a firework display

Dead on. Every RC pilot should have the safety of manned aircraft as their first priority followed closely by the safety of those on the ground.

Flew my drone through a firework display

Stupid? Absolutely. The part where he is flying through the bursts isn't really the part that is dangerous (to people anyway) since there appears to be a large body of water and an exclusion zone. If the Phantom had been hit it would have most likely disintegrated and fallen into the water. But...

Goggles dangerous, hardly but your big heli's are out to get you!

Not all accidents are due to pilot error or poor maintenance. Mine, in fact, was determined to be a radio malfunction. The heli was not even in the air at the time of the incident. It was sitting on the ground 20 feet away idling, then went full power, pitched, and yawed straight into my face...

Goggles dangerous, hardly but your big heli's are out to get you!

That's a good thing. Too many people get complacent around these things and forget how dangerous they can be.

Goggles dangerous, hardly but your big heli's are out to get you!

Somewhat. My nose is still not straight (and probably never will be) too much damage to the cartilage. And still not much in the way of feeling. The nerves didn't regenerate like we had hoped. But it's there. I didn't lose it and I didn't end up with a prosthetic. I had a GREAT plastic surgeon...

Drone and rescue chopper nearly collide as drone crashes mount

It's sad how true that is. It's because the deterrent of self-preservation isn't there. The heli pilot is going to react to anything he sees in the general vicinity (recognised or not). Anything within a mile is considered a near miss. Flying any RC craft at 1000' is just reckless and...

Drone and rescue chopper nearly collide as drone crashes mount

Except that this was a rescue (Medi-flight?) heli. So not much chance MR's will take his job. Kinda difficult to lift a stranded hiker off a mountain with an MR.

Drone and rescue chopper nearly collide as drone crashes mount

Looks like a lot of speculation at this point since there is no identification of what was in the air or who was flying it. It very well could just be the pilot made abrupt maneuvers to avoid "something" and assumed it was a MR or RC plane of some kind. Or it could have been some moron with a...

    Controls too sensitive

If your adjustments make it feel "mushy", just back down the values until it feels right. Leave the travel adjustments at 100%. But try using less expo.

60 Minutes special on Drones over America

I loved how Fienstien tried to make it sound like she was surprised by the copter. Lyin' *****. When she was speaking to the committee she said how she knew of the display and knew they were showing that the copter had to be right on her window to see anything. And that it wasn't stealthy. Then...

    The Hover Mast. Legal dronage!

Interesting idea for a camera based security system. But this line, "a large variety of payloads such as CCD/IR cameras, radars, laser designators, relays, cellular antennas, and hyperspectral sensors and can receive COMINT and ELINT. " could be troublesome if it's available to the general...
