Yeah, the windings are enamel coated and some motors extend the winding into the there wires. Max does this so when you cut the soldered tip off to shorten them, you're left with the enamel problem to deal with.

Haha, yes Im flicking between batteries and using a 2200 to check. I know I programmed them all via the transmitter and menu 6 I chose option 4 so the low voltage was turned off.

3 of them start to stall at 70% (after a while getting going) then the power drops and intermittetly cuts out on the way down. Only with 3 of them. One is strong all the way up and down.

Ive just done that. 3 emax motors are funky. One works. Ive just ordered 4 new 2204 2300 instead of reordering the 1804's

Yeah, Ive connected directly to throttle on TX...same prob. Ive tried calibrating every option I can think of re the escs. I can't flash or update because I believe I need two extra pieces of hardware to get the firmware on the esc.

Ive upgraded my 9X to the frisky DJT and D8R- ii Plus and Im running a NAZA Lite with M firmware flash. Ive calibrated the compass, calibrated the Flight C, calibrated the sticks and the thing is flying like its drunk! It was perfect before the 'upgrade'. Anyone using similar setup?

Thanks Rotorfreek. Hey I just got one of those cell checkers you recommended. Im currently using the balance tap from lipo to power FPV. Any ideas how to use cell checker while also being able to power fpv? Does it have a 'through' power out or is it possible to split the balance tap?

Thanks! I ended up taking 12v from the power board and straight into the Tarot like I did with the KK2.1 FC. I took ch7 and set it to the rx pitch and its all working perfectly. So...exactly the same as what you've just suggested. Thanks for the reassurance!
