Make sure the channel in the transmitter is not reversed!

If possible after inspections, try to get an ammeter into the circuit and then remove things, one at a time until you find the part responsible for the high current draw.

If I remember rightly, there are 2 versions of the AR7000. One does preset failsafe and the other doesn't. If it says Batt/data on it, then it does. This will allow you to programme the RX to put the naza into RTH mode, ie it will drive one of the switches to force the failsafe mode in the naza...

Easiest thing is to try it, by setting it up with the preset failsafe method (if you can), then just test it with the naza assistant software.

No probs. I have just learned that it can be done with other receivers too, that don't support the preset failsafe function, but to do it, you have to reprogram your TX into heli model, instead of an aero model, to give it the added Aux1 (pitch) function, which it what is used to drive the...

Was the spektrum receiver set to preset failsafe, or just the ordinary failsafe. This may answer your question I suspect. If just ordinary failsafe, then RTH would/could not have kicked in.

No probs Darrin. I have a TBS and use a gimballed Gopro on the front for recording. Probably a bit beneath what you'll be doing, but I enjoy it...lol.

Most definitely confusing to set up, but once its done, if the sh!t hits the fan, you simply throw the RTH switch, and in theory, you can then forget about it. It will come home!! Doesn't get much simpler than that :-)

The throttle on a spektrum receiver does not have to be 40-50% to engage RTH. If using the preset failsafe option of a spekky receiver, the throttle can be anywhere. Mine is at zero, because it doesn't matter where it is, the Naza just takes over and uses whatever controls are required to get it...
