The bit I used was a 1/16 inch end mill. Took about 45 min to cut out. I got the bit from thomas skinner and I think the brand was Garr Tool. Im hoping soon to make a new and stronger machine one day to handle faster feed speeds in aluminum.

Thanks. I think in was running about 5mm/sec and 1.5mm depth passes. I was using a 1/8 end mill for the bit.

Here is a picture of the machine. It is designed after the Momus machine. I have modified the plans to have a steel frame and a larger cutting area. Also have two motors running the Y axis.

Was playing with some aluminum and made some arms for a multocopter. The solid aluminum arm looks very nice and clean. I was surprised on the weight. Not much more then the hollow square tubing. Final weight was 38grams each. If any one is interested I can help make some for your own multicopter.
