    Tarot T810 Build

Well hopefully I get some flying in today. Awesome day so far, except for spending the first half of the day doing yard work blech.... LOL. I will have a video up today to document the changes and whatnot. The bird flys great with or without the gimbal. Stable. I just wish it had more...

    Tarot T810 Build

So, it has been a few months since I posted. Been super busy with tons of different things going on, but the one thing that I haven't done much of is fly. Weather here has been kinda crappy. Either too windy or too rainy. However, this has given me the time to finally tweak my gimbal to my...

Oh, I seriously can't wait for spring to get here. Tired of the cold... LOL!

    Tarot T810 Build

So my CamRemote came in on Friday, and what a difference it made in how my camera responds. Bye Bye sketchy IR controls. Mind you, this doesn't control the video portion of the camera, as far as I can tell that is. However, it does give me some control on how my camera responds to inputs from...

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

Probably a good idea. I know mine works real well. I do think that the script might need to be tweaked a tad, not much, but fine tuned to make sure that the heights are accurate and voltage is as correct as it should be. I don't think the voltage is an issue, but some times the altitude...

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

Mind you that was without the gimbal. I increased those to 20% once I added the gimbal. It seemed to work pretty well. The thing you need to make sure of, especially on the yaw is to make sure that when you put your craft into a yaw maneuver, that it doesn't drop altitude when you perform the...

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

What I did on my test flight was to take the default settings that the naza software set and increase them by 14% and ran with that for my test flight.

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

I'm running about 20% higher than factory settings for the naza hex setting. Too high of gains, I found that mine becomes kinda twitchy and ultra responsive.

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

Yeah, that is what it does. I think it saves on the press of enter. No physical "save" button.

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

Hey Keith, I believe it saves automagically.... Any time you hit enter, you will notice the values go from red to black.... I've never had mine ask to save.

    Tarot T810 Build

Ok, I have a question. I flew a bit yesterday and encountered an issue. It seems that my flight times are really poor. I am using two 10c 6600mah multistars on my hex, and I believe that the cool temps outside worked against me. I noticed that my voltage dropped like a rock yesterday under...

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

I haven't had any issues with mine. The further away from the electronics and the emi, the better I am thinking.

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

The naza just has to be pointed forward "with the arrow pointing forward". The gps puck needs to be adjusted a bit, but honestly, unless you have tbe, you probably won't need to. I never did, I just made sure mine was pointing the same direction as the arrow on the naza, and it flys and holds...

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

Glad everything is working out for the best for you Keith. I've since made a few changes to the my own Taranis, and probably need to make an update to the video. Since I moved the gimbal control over to the Taranis, I've made a few programming changes and everything seems to be working out...

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

Weird. Well I guess they know more about the heat exchange that we do LOL! Maybe it transfers through the foam well enough to not worry about. Still, the install is looking stellar.

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

Yeah, maybe have them mounted with foam on the bottom, but not on the top? Being in the electronics industry, heat is something that I try to avoid LOL! Yeah mounting might be a bit of an issue, but it might be just as simple as making sure the heatsink is un-obstructed and not covered.

Tarot 650 Build - Parts Are Arriving

One thing that comes to mind on this is heat dissipation of the escs. Are they going to get hot in this config?
