It's all a trade off right? Just depends on how much of the AUW is battery. I'm using 435KV KDE motors. We did test a Hex with U7's and it was pretty much as you describe.

No. I can make a Pixhawk do most of the things the SOLO can do but it takes much longer, you have to be a wizard with Mission Planner and it still won't do it as well. So if your going to fly a GoPro you can't beat the SOLO. BUT, if you want to fly anything bigger than a GoPro then the SOLO...
