Three flashes repeating for a while? Three flashes means no GPS lock. Manual mode just has red flashes. GPS is green and ATTI is yellow. What mode are you in? All confirmed in the software?
This was relating to the XFactor incident. There's a video on YouTube. They're remaining tight lipped about who was flying but the pilot was retested in April and passed with flying colours.
Remember Die Hard 2 where they set ground level lower? The plane smashed into the ground. That kind of thing.
If you think of the craft as a disc (think spinning plate) the angles of manoeuvre are different depending where you are on that disc. If you're at the edge there will be big movements...
Probably. But I use 9" and motors/ESC don't even get warm so going to 10" should still be within tolerance. You don't use 10" if you're not carrying any weight. But if you're carrying extra weight you need more power. Either new motors or up the props. I should point out I use Graupner props...
You'll come to an understanding of COG over time. In the beginning you can simply think of it as the middle of the craft. With gimbals and legs underneath the COG will be a little lower. And yes, it affects stabilisation and flight characteristics.
Hi mate. Is the IMU mounted with air flowing over it? The small hole on the front can suffer from static pressure build up. I've covered mine with some foam to dampen it a bit. White flashes can either be vibration or a mismatch between IMU/GPS. Have you calibrated your GPS compass? Location...
Well that doesn't sound so bad then. Sorry for sounding preachy. My friendly disposition does not come across when I type! Have fun with it mate! I love my S800 personally. A few niggles but great quality video nonetheless.
If you disregard the 'revving of the motors' Is it simply a loose connection on your LED? I had a loose one which would flash blue in GPS mode occasionally (purple is made up from the different LEDS so a few had loose connections to produce blue). I wiggled it and all good again.
Dude, leave the camera on when the Zenmuse is powered up. It puts a strain on it otherwise. Didn't it vibrate and hum without a camera? And centre of gravity is key! Reduces vibes, controls are more accurate. Just saying...
Glad flight went well!
Likewise. I have a DX10t and DX7S and really like the ease of use. I'm into FPV and find the Spektrum 2.4Ghz penetration through obstacles poor. Range about 2.2Km. Have only heard good things about Futaba with that respect (I've been thinking about jumping ship for a while).
On my BNUC-S course the safety video was of hand launched planes hitting people on take off.
Do we even know what craft he's flying? I wouldn't hand launch an S800 but my F550 sure.
I remember a year ago there was a video of someone throwing there F450 into the air and starting the motors. It started instantly and stayed there. I was most impressed.
Haven't people been hand launching planes for many years?
