Manual Mode? Atti Mode? GPS Mode?

Atti Mode also holds altitude, GPS mode will hold the aircraft in place when there are no stick inputs. There are other modes within GPS like orientation lock, or "intelligent" orientation lock, this mode makes it so you "can't loss orientation."

The Next Level - Aluminum-Air barries and docking replacement.

Ah yes I see what you are saying. thanks for the explanation. I think (hope) the next break through in batteries will be a game changer for not only consumer electronics and drones but the species. The main thing holding back alternative energy now is transportation and storage.

The Next Level - Aluminum-Air barries and docking replacement.

Ya I because replacing the anode cathode is a lot like replacing the whole battery, don't understand where the old ones go, if they corrode away before repacing them how would the battery be supplying power.

The Next Level - Aluminum-Air barries and docking replacement.

Ok, read it. I guess I don't fully understand the concept of replacing a batteries anode and cathode.

The Next Level - Aluminum-Air barries and docking replacement.

True these batteries will recharge super quick, but most the stuff I have read about these has been in regards to cell phones and laptops. So these batteries have different power requirements. I think charging 10-20 amh batteries might be more then a pit stop, but who knows. Assuming these...

    How the Pros fly

I wouldn't recommend FPV goggles, if anything goes wrong they become a blind fold. I only fly manual or Atti because I've had time GPS has started acting up. But its preference. What is important is you learn to fly all the modes, or at the very least be proficient in atti in all orientations.

    The Future of Propeller Technology

Ya, I think a lot of this stuff will come down to really slight differences in efficiency but I'm excited to test. I read an interesting article about wind turbines and why they have 3 blades, Check out the link. http://www.theguardian.com/theguardian/2011/sep/06/why-wind-turbines-three-blades

    The Future of Propeller Technology

Ya but you additionally have more drag. In traditional heli it means more responsiveness and more lift per disk radius. Sometimes you need that because at a certain speed you loss lift at the tips which are spinning faster. So you can get more lift with shorter blades and lower head speed. I...

    The Future of Propeller Technology

Oh I see. I assumed more load from increased drag. 3 blades is less efficient but has more lift? Is this correct. That's my understanding from CP heli setups.

    The Future of Propeller Technology

I'd be interested to learn the best way to find out the amp draw and thrust by adding one more blade to the mix. Multiply by .33?

2015 NAB News: Blackmagic Micro Cinema Cam, Tiny, Drone-Specific Super16 RAW Camera

Totally agree with both these last post. The reason the movi is so good for me is that I can rent it rather then buy. Can't do that with any other gimbal.

2015 NAB News: Blackmagic Micro Cinema Cam, Tiny, Drone-Specific Super16 RAW Camera

Well at NAB no one at the booth (when i was there) really knew how the gimbals worked to compensate roll drift, but one of there larger models did have a gps puck. There was also a Canadian pilot who was working the booth that had used it and said it didn't roll in his experience.

2015 NAB News: Blackmagic Micro Cinema Cam, Tiny, Drone-Specific Super16 RAW Camera

When I looked at the Gremsy at NAB it looks like pore build quality. It has GPS, but the mounting and balancing screws did not look good for long term repeated use. The Besteady 4 looks really awesome, no gps but multiple IMUs on different axis that help correct for roll errors. The black magic...
