I have a droidworx 6hdl with mk's. I could not get the copter to hold in place, it would want to drift towards me and to the right. I sent it away and they updated the flt cont to mk v2.5 me and nav to 2.0 Was tested flown and shipped back to me. It is much better but still does the toilet...
For the most part I built mine all except for the major soldering. I don't trust myself with that. I have a friend that works on cnc machines, is excellent in electronics. Are there machines to build without alot of soldering or none at all?
I have had a Droidworx since 2011 but want to upgrade to an octo. Don't think I will wantto sell anything for a while. I don't want to build it I want a supplier that's been around for a while and has great service for guy who doesn't want to build just fly!
I am looking for a dual control copter, pilot/camera gimble that would carry up to 10lbs. Something that can easily break down to a reasonable size. One with a gimble that is not limited to only one type of camera. that's about it...
I watched a video on youtube and of course now I can't find it but a guy with the same setup as I have showed his flight very clear on his video screen up to almost 2kms. Id be happy with 500ft...Shaun

I too have the pearl and this is my set up. Image is great at about 100' past that its quit fuzzy and coming towards me I almost lose it completly.this is my setup
Could be, mine is about 4 yrs old and has never worked very well. It has servos and a belt with moves a long curved toothed gear. It is hard to adjust and loosens up on a regular basis. After seeing others I think it is a poor design. It was my first and would defenitley be my last.
Has anyone been following PMG Multirotors. They are coming out with a new octocopter that may lift as much as 20kg and long flight times. The camera gimble is not model specific and can be taken off and used on the ground.
Does anyone know why companies are building camera specific gimbles? Next year you might want a different camera, then what, buy another gimble if you can find one to fit your camera.
