Took apart my ebay steal the tarot T810. Check out the pics.

This may be a dumb question, but does this thing have a front? Or is that up to the direction my flight controller is aiming?

Great video John, I am a little behind with this project. I bought a servo tester but unfortunately is does not work with a 22 volt battery but the new one should be here Tuesday. In the mean time I am going to start soldering the wire harness. I am unsure how many additional leads I will need...

Yes there is, and I was thinking about that when I posted this one. Sorry about that. From now on I will only use this thread for the updates. Deal? Today I should be getting the banana plugs, and tomorrow possibly the battery. I am going to bench test everything before I put it back together...

Took apart my ebay steal the tarot T810. Check out the pics.

Today I took apart my Tarot T810. Good thing I did because I found some exposed wires hidden in the frame and an ESC wire that was sliced. If the thing ever got off the ground in the condition it was in it probably would have fallen out of the sky at some point. Everything else looks good...

Got a used Tarot 810. Starting the rebuild process.

Everything in the video plus a little more came with the hexacopter from eBay for $207. Next video I will show everything and the work I will be doing in a couple of days. So to answer your question, no I did not add those yellow stripes, it came with the deal.

Got a used Tarot 810. Starting the rebuild process.

I looked up the sony and I believe it was 9 OZ's vs the one pound my GH2 weighs. It also films in 4k which is good. I have always had canon from my first AE1 program, to my 7D and now 70D. I've never had a full frame. I got the money but I am just too cheap. I loved the 7D but it did not focus...

Got a used Tarot 810. Starting the rebuild process.

Incredible. I hope my next build after this build can be half as nice. This build is to learn about parts and programming a flight controller and remote more sophisticated than the librapilot and CC3D programs I've messed around with. I've only been doing this for about 4-5 months. I am still...

Got a used Tarot 810. Starting the rebuild process.

Hello dronevibes, about 4 months ago I got a Syma X5, then the X8G, a cheap racing 250 quadcopter, and then the Phantom 3 advanced. Now, I just bought a used Tarot 810 Hexacopter I am going to rebuild. I wish I got into this years ago. I have always been into photography and video, and when you...

Testing blackmagic pocket with brushless 3-axis gimbal

Wow, the two videos in this thread are some of the best aerial footage I have ever seen. I have a Tarot 810 coming in the mail that I will eventually fit with a mirrorless. Your videos are inspirational.

Here is my latest video shot with my Phantom 3 Advanced. It is of Treasure Island located just East of San Francisco. I got a Tarot 810 coming in the mail soon and plan to mount a mirrorless camera. Should be fun.

Advice on powerful motor for Tarot 680 Pro

13 inch fit but there is not that much space in between them. It appears 12 inch is the largest you can go. So, will 12 inch props create enough lift for a small mirrorless camera such as a GH3 or 4? I don't think so, or not for a long time. So now I will have to rethink the build.

Advice on powerful motor for Tarot 680 Pro

Alwil, I was thinking about the "E800 (6*Motor/ESC; 5 pair props; Accessories pack; Updater for ESC)" which I believe is just a bit more powerful. Come to think of it, I better make sure it will fit.

Advice on powerful motor for Tarot 680 Pro

I am going to be building a hexacopter based on the Tarot 680 Pro frame with a Naza flight controller. I want it to be able to carry a light mirrorless camera such as a GH2, GH3 or GH4. What would be a good dependable motor that could lift this and give me about 12-15 minutes of airtime...

I hope this is the right place this time. This is from a couple of different flights, probably about 20 minutes worth of footage. It was nice enough to make a short video out of but was not used in my other videos. In a week or so I am going to order the parts to make a f550 or Tarot 680 based...

DIY Drone Falls Out Of Sky

About a week ago my first build also fell from the sky when making a hard left. Apparently I had forgotten to tighten one prop... Ooops. Is it doing it under similar circumstances or is it more random?

I loved Vancouver. When I was 17 (1981) ouch, I road across Canada with AYH. We started on the East Coast and finished in Vancouver. We averaged about 70 miles a day carrying our own weight. I remember your city being one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited. Too bad there are so...

Oddly, it is illegal to fly a drone on the beach or anywhere owned by the ggnra which is mostly open land, but very few places in San Francisco are restricted. I found this information below.. Here is a map that shows of areas to avoid on‘t fly drones here. As you can see, most of San Francisco...

I checked the laws, and I talked to a couple of guys from work in law enforcement, and there are no ordinances or special laws regarding flying in a city. But, if it did land on someone's head of course you could be sued just like at a wedding or the beach. Yes, it is dangerous but I did it at 6...
