    Hubsan FPV X4

Review: Total cost for all components is reasonable. The entry price (for the size of the quad) may seem a little steep, however this has been a great quad to learn fly with. I can crash this quad (in the house or outside) and feel fairly confident there won't be any substantial damage; might...

    Hubsan FPV X4

Just got this this and new to the hobby - what a blast!! Purchased with an additional 5 batteries and a USB x4 chager - works pretty well. Have already modded the receiver with moving the antenna outside the case and lpanning to re-mount the quad's antenna as well; from other forums read...

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

I am still looking to find my ideal frame, however I did purchase my FC (Naza Full). Spent a lot of time flying the Hubsan and really loving it. This little thing is a blast to fly outside, although its getting too clod out - boo!

Okay, for the build, looking at this FC - link Any input if this is good or bad? Should I be able to find this cheaper (of equal quality)?

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

@fengshuidrone, I think you may have misunderstood my request. The idea of a multi-charger is simply for the little X4 batteries. I have a Hyperion Charger that will be used for the build quad. As mentioned, I am not firing up the big auad until we complete our build. In the interim I am...

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

Here are some of the goodies! Man, this little guy is a blast. So glad i purchased the additional 5-pack Battery set. Now I just need to figure out how to make the single USB charge into a multi-charger!

Bartman, sorry, getting amped to get going. Was hoping to get the basic gear ordered before the holidays so I could work on it on in spare time. Holding steady.

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

Okay, got some good stuff in the mail today; received my DJI Hexacopter 550, motors, KK2, ECS and props and the Hubsan FPV X4. Plan is to learn to fly with the Hubsan and learn to build with the DJI. Still looking to source a DJI 450 frame or whatever frame the group decides to go with.

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

Okay, saw various price points, but I'd rather understand the technology behind (and why these components are compatible) versus just buying a kit. Shocking how MultiWii kits range from $56.00 to over $300.00...

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

Sorry, really out of my element when you started discussing volts and amperage limits. I am now more confused than before - easily done. For the sake of saving us (newbies) some grief are you planning to (or would you) mind putting together a google document with links for potential part...

In thinking ahead of FVP components and footprint - when adding the FVP Camera and Tx, are they powered with their own power source (battery) or do you piggyback them off the quads battery?

    Help Choosing FPV

New to the hobby, and might be off base asking this, but given the relatively cheap camera out there why would you use your GoPro? Just curious.

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

Bartman, is RealFlight the sim that allows use with a Futaba Tx? I wanted to get into a sim software, but didn't know what software (and what interface cable) I would need. Any advice?

Do you only build on DJI frames w/ integrated PCB? I am not opposed, but hoping to build something that didn't have the integrated PCB so we'd need to source a PCB, mount, etc. I realize it is extra work, but I think it'll help to fully understand all aspects. Again, open to which ever...

Group Build 2016, Let's get it on!

Great site and very informative. I stumbled on to the site yesterday and have no previous experience. That said, I have read the 2014 Group Build and was all set to build based on the DJI F450 frame. I see the 2016 Build has just begun and was wondering, in your experience, would you suggest I...
