A quick question, is it possible to disable the GPS (and remove the GPS module?). We're flying near the arctic circle and don't want to use GPS for safety reasons.

My Naza V1 with 2.xx something firmware slowly lost calibration and I had to use quite a lot of trim in ATTI mode. Now switched to 3.16 FW which allows sensor calibration and the problem was solved (Also disconnected the GPS module since I've lost all confidence in DJI's GPS functions :livid:)

Wow that sucks.. It comes to mind that if there were a glitch with the radio and failsafe throttle was set to zero, then this could possibly happen. U channel should be set to `failsafe`and throttle to around 30%. Have you had problems with the DX8 before? Is the receiver located near ESC's?

Agreed, very nice clip.. I hope there will be more news about the good uses of drones in the future. At the moment the bad stuff ends up in the media more often and causes a bad reputations for MR community.

My Naza had the same problem, I found out that rotating the GPS sensor 15-30 degrees CW eliminated the "toilet bowl" effect.. I don't know if this works with Hoverfly, but that's one possible solution.

Thanks! I updated to 1.7b FW and works much smoother now. The PC software was quite straight forward, but it crashed quite often.. Hopefully PH will fix the remaining issues before launching any new products. It's better to have a few good products than lots of bad ones..
