I have the same setup you have. Av130 nex5n and the hdmi converter but I ultimately decided to just use a Sony 600 FPV cam as the cables, separate voltage, and converter drove me nuts.

Tim at readymade told me to only use 3s on these and NEVER 4s. So perhaps the easy answer os to just put a damn 3rd battery on the rig. I was trying to keep it simple. And NO, I do not have things working. there is still a very odd issue with the camera/tx together.

The tx says on it that it can take 5-17volts. And it works fine when the gopro is plugged into it. The output is roughly line voltage -1 volt. And i realize this is too much for the rated 5-15v. But why then does it still not work when i plug a separate 12v power supply to it? It works this...
