    DJI F450 "batwing" camera bracket

Im sure it would help if you had vibrations that bad. It would have been nice to see what the coin did without the big steel block.

    Hoverfly Hoverfly on Golf Channel

Nice, and they even called it a hoverfly. People will complain at anything. "Wow. While it is an impressive piece of technology even in its current state, methinks the folks working on the Hover Fly Aerial Camera are going to have to do make some major tweaking to its design and performance...

Hoverfly Building an X8 with HFPro

Av8... I build my own frames. I'm flying 12" APC SF and they work great. They are the easiest prop to balance. I have also tried the thins with 12x6 top and 13x6.5 bottoms and that worked well too. The APC thins are a lot more hub to balance so they have to be perfect. I'm using 40amp...

How do I know what the camera sees?

You can also just snap away and use something like Hugin to stitch them. This is a pretty fussy program though so you really need to make a nice nodal pan for it to work, which is hard on a heli unless you are lucky. There are some other apps that have surfaced recently as well..

GoPro Three Black KILLED my MicroSd card

Is it easy to revert to old firmware with the gopro? I've had mine for months and not once used it. I keep testing with my gopro1 and 2 thinking it would be less of a loss.

Hoverfly Building an X8 with HFPro

It will be a very worthy machine you are building. I have almost identical. Im flying an XY8 with av200/360 and fly the nex5n,cx760 and it is more than capable of lifting these without even noticing they are there. Its nice not over loading your helo in case something does go wrong with a...

Hoverfly A flight nightmare with a happy ending ...

Thats totally normal. thats the new Hoverfly inflight auto yaw calibration. Kidding. Jeeze! Congrats on managing to keep that thing up in the air while it did that. I'm assuming all your props were fine? very odd. I'm definitely sticking with my old firmware. The fact that it recovered...

From what I heard, the best thing for snow is that little polarizing disc. same for any bright or reflective environment.

    NYT drones a booming business.

http://www.nytimes.com/video/2013/03/17/business/100000002115828/drones-a-booming-business.html At least it sounded pretty positive for the industry.

Post production stabilization and best capture settings for a 5d Mark III/DSLRs

I know. the work flow of the dslr is very nice. I would personally focus more on getting your balance tuned and flying the dslr than investing in the Sony band-aid(aka BOSS). The image is quite good fromt he cx*** but the lenses, image and flow from your 5d will be unbeatable. I'm still...

Post production stabilization and best capture settings for a 5d Mark III/DSLRs

you're better off in 60p if you are ok with 720p. I have shot in 24p accidentally and I was surprised at how well it turned out but it was slow controlled flying on a well balanced machine. There is NO tolerance for error. even 30fps will not allow fast movement without major motion blur...

Hoverfly Testing the HoverflyPro with no Rudder control interesting Ehh...

i think you are right actually. the HFP doesnt allow full control until you get a few feet off the ground or something like that. I had some really weird hoversport issues where the heli would get to 1-2' off the ground and just jump to 10'. The sport has nothing but manual so I have no idea...

F450 carbon fiber landing gear extensions

wow, that was fast. Yeah, these things are so much more fun to fly in a way than SRH's. Unless you are doing serious aerobatics or trying to fly a real heavy camera in winds. But I still like the mechanical side of a SRH in terms of assembling them and playing with all the cool parts. On the...

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

Smooth! Yeah that's my only complaint about Hoverfly. It is very hard to get a vertically smooth shot without jumping around. I have a very gentle throttle curve and that's it. But after flying Dji I know what can be do e with good ah. Too bad really as that is an important feature to have...

Hoverfly Testing the HoverflyPro with no Rudder control interesting Ehh...

Try this. Take your props off. Switch another channel like elevator for the rudder. When you power up the motors you would be able to hear the speed change when you turn rudder. Now try to see if you get a sound change from the switched channel. Maybe plug it direct to a servo to make sure it...

    Sony HDR cx-430v

Another thing I noticed is this camera must have a zillion lens elements in it as the lens flare is overwhelming. I noticed that the fore image was pretty stable and the background objects really showed the vibrations. I'll upload an example later if i can remember. And I always have it in...

    Sony HDR cx-430v

I'm sure I'm gonna get some arguments from this but here it goes... after playing with the cx760 I have to say that it is amazing. BUT, the BOSS does not rid of vibrations, only movement. If you wanted to hand hold it and walk around you could get a steadicam type shot. But its not designed...
