Although most people run Ardupilot on Pixhawk's, its a PX4 based board. Now that 3DR has mostly, if not completely pulled its support of Ardupilot most of te OpenSource development effort is now PX4, do you have any plans on supporting it?

I'm mounting the GoPro inside a waterproof drone and using the front part of the waterproof case so I can't use the video out of the USB. That's why I'm hoping the 50 pin connector works. Unless that connector fits inside the waterproof housing?

I'm just using it for composition but on the site it says that it works with all Hero's up to the Hero3+ but says nothing about the Hero4. I was hoping someone had tried it with a Hero4.

The PixRacer software is PX4, developed by DroneCode, its the same software used in the Pixhawk. Since 3DR bailed we're now an official hardware manufacturer for DroneCode. Although the PixRacer was not designed to replace the Pixhawk many of the developers are calling it the next generation...

It is but it uses much better components and from what I hear flies much better. Its from the Pixhawk line of controllers.

What DJI was doing on the committee for registration and what they are doing with GEO fencing is political. What the FAA is doing is political. Same goes for organizations who claim to help this hobby, like the AMA and Small Drone Coalition, its all political.
