Looks like I've got a Duff one!!!

Did you do the csc-both sticks down and to the left or both sticks down and to the right?

Liked the air so much, she wouldn't come down...

Tom is correct, I am wrong (as far as not needing a motor hooked up). I had my multi totally built before I calibrated my esc's, not ever having done it before, I drug my feet until the bitter end. The esc emits waves or something that causes the motor windings to resonate and make the little...

    My brushless gimbal result

Beautiful pictures Boltzman and cool idea using the disco. Wonder if you used some of those rctimer 550 long arms, but then I guess it wouldn't be very packable. How do you support the gimbal, is there a bearing block between the frame plates? I'm asking because I've got a large foldable quad...

Hey Rob, you're welcome. A couple things, if you're using a naza in your build it's probably a good thing to get the led unit soldered onto the your distro board and use that to put power to your rx before you calibrate. If you hook both lines coming off your V-Sen unit up to the correct plugs...

    Gimbal servo alignment?

I think you have to disconnect the linkages and put power to the servos. The servos will then set themselves to their center point, then you can readjust your linkages and fine tune it in naza assist.

    Any thoughts on this?

I think Bart's referring to one of the sponsors-FlyBoys, I think they recently got shut down by the FAA.

You can solder them to your distro board so long as you can put power to it. Yes, your rx has to be bound to your tx, all you're doing is letting your transmitter tell the speed controller what hi and low throttle is. You don't have to have a motor plugged into the esc. Gobs of cali vids on...

you would plug a battery into the PDP and plug the esc's signal wire to your rx one at a time.

They should fit with the little inserts you'll get with the props. When you're ready to hang a camera, buy a Dubro prop balancer which is slightly more expensive then the magnetic type balancers but so much better (with good resell value also) and learn to balance your props. See, one more...

I think the tiger motors you're getting have a 6mm prop bolt, stock dji motors have 8mm prop bolt which is perfect for them since the dji props have an 8mm hole that's keyed. Don't bother with the graups just yet (if ever), go with some gemfan 10". edit: sorry, I'm wrong, they are 5mm. Start...

The second number on a prop (3.8) is the theoretical distance of travel on one revolution. So a 10x3.8 will travel 3.8 inches for every complete turn of the prop. You'll still need to get some adapters if you decide to go with graupner 10"'s since their hole is 8mm and most motors (not dji)...

    Rear vs Front Marking

NEVER PUT THE WHITE ARMS IN FRONT!!! It screws with the gps on naza...that's the rumor...I just started...on the innerwebs. Without lights it really doesn't matter what color goes front or back on a 450. Hellz, when the thing gets 50 feet away it might's well be a cereal box on edge. Take...

Naza GPS - Slight back/left drift before solid hover

Depending on where in the world you live, you'll have to rotate the gps puck's arrow a little to the left or a little to the right, it has to do with "magnetic declination" and the world being a round ball instead of a flat map or some such poppeycock. Remember, your gps numbers reflect center...

That's a tough one, I'm using the hitec X-1 but it's fan is starting to make a funny noise after a year. Don't go uber cheap though like the some of the cheap eeeblay specials. Maybe look for one (like the hitec) that has a built in power supply. Are you building your rig or will it be RTF?

Flexacopter -----The Making of an octocopter "KRATOS"-----

Majestic is the only word I can think to describe this octo. Mario your build quality is beyond compare. A question I have, how do you adjust the wire rope for different loads, take out pieces of cable? again, well done! tom
