Super fast flashing yellow light on NAZA LED...not failsafe

That same flashing can also mean that binding with the transmitter was lost. That can be checked quickly after connecting your craft to Assistant. PS, Important: Be sure to take the props off before upgrading the firmware. But I know you knew that already.

Super fast flashing yellow light on NAZA LED...not failsafe

I saw your video. That flashing is normal after the Naza is powered on. It means that the IMU is warming up. It will go away after a minute and then the led will begin signaling the flight mode. Be patient after powering on. My Naza flashes like that for at least a minute after powering on...

Using capacity resistors when discharging lipos to storage level with iCharger 106B+

The Hyperion charger takes a load off of my brain. Which is why I bought it. I can push a button a half dozen times to put a LiPo into storage mode and the charger's computer does the rest. It sounds a blip when near the end and balancing, then sounds a louder alarm when it's done and shuts...

Newb to the hobby and need advice! :D

They look the same size to me. The new V2 has an additional pmu separate from the led. How is the V2 bigger. Is it really bigger?

I'm NEW and could use a little help =)

Jake I'm still learning that myself but listen to my story. Many years ago a friend got me into rc sailplanes. In the days of crystal controlled frequencies. He started with those primitive first generation electric airplanes and started small. He always bought just enough radio transmitter...

Naza-M Blinking 3 Red Even After Long Wait

Hi ProPilotWannabe, (PPWB for short?) :02.47-tranquillity: Thanks for that fast reply. Today I took my GPS to Century and their tech already had a test setup right there on his bench. It took only a couple minutes for him to confirm that my unit was bad. He brought out and unboxed a new...

Naza-M Blinking 3 Red Even After Long Wait

I bumped this old thread because I'm having exactly the same issue with my naza gps satellite reception as ProPilotWannaBe. Exactly. I spent half the day trying to find a solution and at the end returned to this thread because it offers the most promise for finding a solution. It's too bad...

Spektrum DX8 or Futaba T8J??? or Other???

Yep. I began with a DX8 but ... I'm still so new to the hobby that I decided I can switch to Futaba. Kloner swears by Futaba and Tahoe Ed has switched and so I'm going to switch too. Before I invest any money on my next build. The TX choice is important. Better now than later. Best, Rob

Another Phantom Fly Away - IMPORTANT

Darren, you can't just buy a new transmitter and expect it to operate the Phantom. Stop. Don't buy that Futaba. You'll have to disassemble your Phantom and completely modify the insides. Remove the Phantom receiver and replace it with another. There's a tutorial on YouTube that explains how...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Help - Maytech ESC smoked on power-up / first throttle application

I'm having that hot esc issue now. Mine are Maytechs. I would have flown it Sunday morning if I had not felt that one esc was almost too hot to touch. I have a spare. (I always order extras of every thing) Tonight I disassembled the 450, took that arm off and left just the esc dangling from...

    Aural Aesthetics of Propellor Noise

Your experience is valued by me but my experience is different. Without the props on, the motors at full throttle made no sound standing six feet away. Of course I could hear them when it was on the bench during testing. I flew my build with those wood props left and right, to and fro, close...

    Aural Aesthetics of Propellor Noise

Aural Aesthetics of Propellor Noise. I don't know why the matter should seem important to me but it is. The noise made by quads doesn't matter to others. I flew my first bird with Xoar beechwood props and it flew well. I had already read that Xoar wooden propellors were quiet. My own...

how to find your compass mod value in the Naza assistant software??

I held the craft with my hands inverted so I could change the positions easily. I stood holding the craft somewhat northwards with the nose facing away. I turned myself around clockwise until the light changed. Then, I pointed the nose downwards and circled clockwise again until the light...

Multirotor in the news and a few links

Yes. And... No one could create such impressive displays in a room where a cooling ceiling fan was turning. The indoors air had to be completely still.

Oh dear. And priced much less than the Phantom. The online and real life turmoil will repeat history.

Learn to walk before you run

Ditto to what the others wrote. I began with an mQX in February and also got the Aerosim flight simulator, which includes a little manual flown quad. I crash it every time in the sim. At that same time I chose the slow route and began ordering the parts for the F450. It was finished and...

    Some questions about quadcopters

Hi Frayt. Others are more qualified than me to give you advice but right away I realized what's going to happen. Advances in weaponry are always useful for a while, but someone is bound to find a way to shoot the craft down. I've seen videos of some big chaotic paintball fests and it will be...

I Believe I've Joined the Club

Yes. My first pilot error crash. It's going to put my flying down for 3 weeks while I fix the craft. I was testing my build for the 3rd time and it was doing well in gps mode when I activated rth. The craft began flying away instead of towards. I wanted to cancel rth and regain gps but...
