I think 4s is the way to go as you can then upgrade motors etc without too much additional cost. Once you start putting a gimbal and fpv you will need a bit more oomph. I run an F550 upgraded outfit and get a safe 8=9 mins on 4s 6100 batteries.

The great thing about Super X is that you can trust it. Many people use the switchable RTH to get them back on some form of recognisable course before taking over and flying again in Atti or GPS.

Don't worry it happened to me. Just slow down and get your software and firmware in order as per the above instructions. All will be well in the end. My Super X upgrade flies beautifully.
