Tarot FY680, Sony NEX5, gimbal or brushless gimbal

I can't wait to start building. Pretty sure I'm going to use Axi2814/20 motors. Should give lots of lift on 4S 10'000mAh.

Tarot FY680, Sony NEX5, gimbal or brushless gimbal

I've been looking at that gimbal and it looks great. I'm just nervous about it as I haven't heard anything whether it's good or bad. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and get it. Looks hard core.

Tarot FY680, Sony NEX5, gimbal or brushless gimbal

What is a good gimbal for the Tarot FY680 to carry the Sony NEX5. I have the YUN-1 but that is only good for the GoPro or small camera. I like the look of the Tarot 5D but I think that gimbal is too big. Any suggestions is welcome. Thanks

I've been waiting for my FPVmodel gimbal controller for over a month. they hooked me up though and more than made up for the delay. But I'm bummed because the gimbal is almost ready go now and I just missed all the apple and cherry blossoms here in Ottawa. Hopefully I'll get the lilac flowers...

That is amazing!!! Such great shots and nothing stupid or reckless, very professional. I'm blown away to. How did you get the vid so stable with no gimbal? I know those are calm days, but there is a little breeze. What ESCs are you using?

@MombasaFlash, You beat me to the punch. Well said. What a stupid tit indeed. I hate these guys who go out buy a crapy Phantom have no idea how it works, why it works or what constitutes safe responsible flight. @ Brain, or lack there of, do us all a favour and sell the phantom and buy a RC car...

    What is more stable?

Those are two very good comments, Simon and Droider, So Simon, are you saying to use the 35s with props that are larger than the 12"? You said you are using the RCTimer Brushless Gimbal, is that for the GoPro or the NEX, what size Cam? By the description weight I'm guessing NEX. Droider Dave...

    What is more stable?

Just curious but how is your AUW 2.5Kg at best? I thought it would be heavier. Is it that my judgments on my weight are way off or is your setup a whole lot lighter?

    What is more stable?

I haven't replied to this for a long time. I'm very confused when I read the specs on T-motors and then run the same motors through the http://www.ecalc.ch/xcoptercalc.htm?ecalc&lang=en. I'm trying to stick to 4S batteries and I'm looking at MN3510-13 700Kv. The AUW will be I suspect about 4Kg...

Cool. I want to be carrying the same camera on a hex before the month is through and I kept thinking I would have to go for the 6S 41mm motors. But I was happy to see the MN3510-13 700kv motors. The eCalc seems to give back a good efficiency number and good flight time. It's great to see that...

Hey Kloner, your NEX Rig running the Brushless Gimbal, what size batteries are you using? 4, 5, or 6S? Could you give me a general description of your setup? Nothing too detailed.

    No Ice Lites, now what?

Hi All, I was supposed to get an amazing deal on some Castel Creations Ice Lite 50s. But This has kind of fallen through. So now that ICE Lite 50s are really around any more what is a good alternative. These must be fast for a hexacopter and reliable as this is for a professional AP ship. I was...
