    FAA and Hollywood, progress?

I gotta say Steve, it's a f##king trip to see Aerial MOB's name when reading all these articles on legalization. You my friend have come a long ways from the days of dunkin your old flame wheel in the Colorado. I don't think the industry could ask for a more passionate, enthusiastic...

No Compromises - The Making of the DJI Ronin

I have to say well done with the Ronin. You guys take a lot of crap when you get it wrong, but you sure got it right on this one. Today was my first full day on set with mine, we had a c100, paralynks, lens swaps between 2 different canon wide zooms and it handled the changes flawlessly. Only...

    Two Flyaways in a row!!!!!!!!

Rik, here's the pdf manual for your 350...http://www.bladehelis.com/ProdInfo/Files/BLH7800_Manual_EN.pdf the binding process is on page 8 and it's an involved process on this one. Not only are you binding your transmitter with the controller, you're calibrating your sticks and setting your gps...

    Two Flyaways in a row!!!!!!!!

That'd be the manual for you dx6i. You say all the switches are back, you need to figure out what switches do what or you'll have nothing but frustration. sorry if I came across like a ****, aside from it being my nature.

    boom repair question

Try this one http://www.rockwestcomposites.com/products/46314 They have thicker also but it's going to be expensive either way. Aren't Trex 700 heli tail booms 25mm? You could also look at these guys http://www.quadframe.us/collections/aluminum-arms/products/25mm-carbon-tubes-arms

    Two Flyaways in a row!!!!!!!!

I'd maybe try and learn how to bind your copter and controller first. How can you know you did everything by the book if the book didn't teach you that basic rc skill set?

    boom repair question

and another-http://www.rockwestcomposites.com/browse/round-carbon-fiber-tubing There's also a guy on ebay that has a pretty good selection of tube, funny all these guys are here in salt lake. Make sure your motor wires have the extra length too.

    boom repair question

You could always try the one up one down motor method. Worked with a crew last week that was using this on their cinestar 8 and they were running 17" tiger props that way. To extend the booms you'd have to get ferrule's that matched the inside dimensions of your booms, then slide your extension...

Ronin Video at China Red Dragon Event

I don't own a movi, but there's a few in town that show up on set. Like I said, if you like tweeking, the ronin only gives you a few parameters to mess with, which in most cases is probably a good thing for most. I've got a couple weeks off now and going to be doing a few show and tells, I'll...

Take care with the new 2.3 software for A2 Today i crashed my Evo 800 S with Z15

It'd be more like a dot of the goo, you don't need much if you're planning on using it and you probably don't want to cover connectors, you just want whatever you're gluing to stay in place to cut down on movement caused by vibes.

Ronin Video at China Red Dragon Event

Well, after playing with the ronin I've found a couple things. If you like tweeking the settings in the gui, this one is probably not for you. DJI doesn't give you much to work with, speed and torque is about it. A bug in the gui has you check a box for briefcase mode, but that disables the...

Take care with the new 2.3 software for A2 Today i crashed my Evo 800 S with Z15

Andy, the stuff never really hardens, it stays kind of rubbery. It peels off easily but it'll hold like dragon snot!

Ronin Video at China Red Dragon Event

Also, note the large rc battery strapped to the rig, not the 250 dollar smart battery. This thing is SOLID! I've handled the Movi's a bunch, they're very light, almost to the point of feeling fragile (even though they're pretty damn rugged). It'd be a workout to try any kind of long handheld...

Ronin Video at China Red Dragon Event

That's what I'm talkin bout! Thanks Ed, mine just showed up today and this is what I'm looking to do. It's really a gorgeous piece of kit, I've only done a quick glance at the parts. Nice work dji but get busy with the android app already!

My quad stopped working and I don't know why.

You may have to calibrate your new esc's to your throttle channel on your tx so it knows hi and low. With radio off, plug esc directly into throttle channel on your receiver, push throttle on tx all the way up, power on your esc (attach battery to ship), power on radio, wait for series of...

DJI has released its 3-Axis stabilized handheld gimbal system--the Ronin

Even with the m10 and an epic, an in shape cam op can still only get a couple of minutes hand holding these things. I'm looking at using a bg with a 10-12' jib arm, but wind torque is my biggest question. Someone posted a ronin review using aftermarket extended arms for longer bodied cameras...

DJI has released its 3-Axis stabilized handheld gimbal system--the Ronin

Curious if dji has done any wind test, how strong will the motors hold ala filming from a moving vehicle. For sure on my short list for something I'm wanting to try.

    Should I Build Another

I'd start by flying the ever lovin piss outta the first one. A good crash could probably suck up all those extra parts in one fell swoop!
