    Super Heavy Lift x8 multicopter

why don't you send him a pm and ask him what he used? Better yet, why not go to one of the established drone building companies and pay them to build you what you're looking for?

    Must Be In Wrong Forum

I've never had a turnigy programmer before, I had another brand, can't recall what now, but I think the only thing I used it for was to change the tones to ol suzana or some such nonsense that was cool for like an hour. You shouldn't have to program your esc's. You use the kk board to...

    Must Be In Wrong Forum

On the kk2.1.5 board you need motors 1 and 2 esc's to have all 3 wires, the rest you can disable the red wire. The #1 esc powers the board, the #2 esc powers the rest of the esc's, hope that helps. oh and don't cut the wires, just pull the red pin out of the servo plug and heat shrink it back.

    DJI E300 motor opto kit

I'd love to know how you got the optos to work with a kk board. Since the opto's don't have a built in bec, how are you powering the kk?

    Build or buy?

Morning David and welcome! With a phantom you'll have a better chance of reselling it so long as it's not all busted up. For an F450 build you'll need- F450 Motors ESC's Flight controller (naza?) Props Transmitter Batteries As well as soldering equipment, bits of wire, heat shrink, possibly...

    Octo with overlaping propeller arcs

A couple of guys did that here with their CS8. It let them run way bigger props, they said they benefitted with more lift having more prop surface area. I thought it was a clever solution for running bigger props vs. using longer arms. They've got some pictures of their rig on their instagram...

The Hour Is Upon US! FAA To Divulge New sUAS Regulations Today (Sunday 2/15/2015)!

RW? That's from a work of fiction written in 1957. The devils in the details is all I'm saying. Wasn't the whole point of regulation to put up some kind of barrier to entry to protect mankind from errant rc pilots?

The Hour Is Upon US! FAA To Divulge New sUAS Regulations Today (Sunday 2/15/2015)!

Before we get too excited let's wait and see what the fines are for violation and who's going to enforce them. Everytime the .gov gets involved I'm reminded of this from Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand- “There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack...

    UAV for Power Line Inspection

This is very cool and a great use for a 1 kilo quad. Is the guy that's in the video the actual line inspector and the thing in his hand control the gimbal for his camera? Very exciting, I just saw a photo of a uav pilot that works for a utility company in San Diego, the guy was holding what...

    FAA may get Drones Right.

Yes, I spoke out of turn. The whole Time Resource and Opportunity cost is an average of what someone would be out of pocket if they were paid to travel, test, get vetted, fill out forms, etc. I'll delete that price, but if any of this is true, it's going to give a lot of the little guys hope...

    Difference between CPPM and S-BUS?

With the naze board you can use a spectrum satellite for your receiver to keep weight down. On the RotorGeeks page they describe it better- http://rotorgeeks.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=34_44&product_id=70 I did it to one of my naze boards but never got the board to recognize my...

    FAA may get Drones Right.

I'm an opponent of all this hullabaloo, but this isn't that bad. Looks to be about 5 grand all in to go through all the hoops. All information for testing will be made available online, ship will have to be registered, TSA vetting, etc. The numbers they present show max applicants would occur...
