Yes, that is the same exact issues we found with Helis. That is why for Video we always went with front mounts. For photography and aerial Panos we us underlsung mounts. Underlsung mounts fly like a dump truck vs. front mount helis.

For test flights I have just been strapping two 6s 5000mah packs underneath to the cross bar. It works fine for test flights. Once gimbal is added I have to make something else up. Basically we need simple battery mounts like the droidworx ones.

The AUS issue I think is a Hardware problem not a firmware issue. Lack of GPS "grab" could just be the time of day etc. on your end. THe firmware was not to address that at all. Like I said I noticed no difference at all. Don't get me wrong sometimes it takes longer but that is usually the...

Its always been the case with DJI firmware that you should click default to erase any left over numbers/settings. It also says it in red in the new manual. :) Just went out and flew in high winds on the S800 with two 6s 5000mah packs and a zip tied AV200 with Nex5n gimbal. No complaints...

Make sure to click default in the Autopilot tab and start fresh. This has been the case with other firmware. If you don't click the default tab and reset everything to the "new" firmware numbers the old numbers (even 100%) are way off. Worth a try.

Of course, there is no wind today for real testing. New firmware: Going from Atti to GPS there is no difference in transition. I use to get a little kick. Seems smoother in flight. Ran the gains up to 200 for Pitch and Roll on S800. Holds great, no toilet bowl. No White LED flash at all...

I have the same issue on XP. I skyped DJI. I was all excited. :( It looks like the file is not correct we download. Its not the usual format.

Time to upgrade the S800 and test out the new firmware today. :)

Quick iPhone pics. I was trying to get the LED at the end of the arms but not sure how well you can see with an iPhone .

It really wouldn't need much of a dome and all the electronics would be protected (besides the motors). The 15" props keep most of the spray away. Maybe after I get a few "extra" in stock I'll start messing with domes or covers. Or maybe DJI is ahead of the curve. I'm thinking something like...
