APC props are very reliable and can take a beating. Once you figure out what size works best try the Graupner E-Props. APC and Graupners are the only props that I'll use. Most motor rotor crashes are due to props breaking in flight.

I think small and light is the way to go. These multirotors can carry a lot. It would certain help if there was a roll/crash cage to prevent or reduce injury in environments like that.

Do you have intelligent cut off enabled? Things get frantic when trying to recover a craft that not responding as intended. Could you have activated the CSC command?
