Shopping list for FPV (Please advise)

Hi Kloner, I have the above setup already purchased and waiting on the TBS Discovery (with Core) to arrive so I can migrate my bits over to the new platform. I *think* they will all fit on the standard F450 frame, but once I saw the TBS Discovery - I ordered it immediately. I have the EzOsd...

    kloners TBS Discovery

Tahoe Ed and hjls3, I agree, I have found their website seems to be a bit daunting to get around in. I'll add the three links that might prove useful.... The Discovery. You can choose options at the bottom of the page. a. http://team-blacksheep.com/products/product:98 Look to the right side of...

    kloners TBS Discovery

Kloner, Awesome pics! I too have ordered the TBS Discovery and the Core. Just waiting for it to show up on my doorstep so I can do better AV/FPV flying without the prop getting in the way. I'm using a RePlay XD 1080 which, being a longer form factor helps to get it out in front of the props a...

    Finding offset angle for GPS

Right. I read and undertood the manual -- and when flying, I have not noticed a deviation in forward flight so I have not made a correction on the angle that the pointer is fixed relative to the centerline of the MR. That being said, I have not tested the failsafe mode (RTH), so I was unaware...

    Finding offset angle for GPS

This is interesting. My magnetic declination is 5.25 degrees West. With that information and what I see that you have done (@ 6.5 East, you moved the pointer on your GPS disc to the 'right'), then, using that logic, should move the pointer on my GPS disc to the 'LEFT' by 5.25 degrees?

NAZA GPS mount & Assistant Software input question.

John, I also used CA (medium) to mount the post/rod to the two brackets - and let it cure overnight. I used velcro to mount the bottom bracket (shaped as an "X" or "+" depending on your viewpoint) to the center of the top place just above the NAZA MC. One arm of the bracket fits under the...

NAZA GPS mount & Assistant Software input question.

I think I'll go to the local park - when it's deserted - and try it there. I usually fly around the house but there are too many 'opportunities' for things to go wrong.

Yup. Maybe even printing the word "FRONT" on the GSP disc? ...it's the simple things that are usually missed...

NAZA GPS mount & Assistant Software input question.

Thanks suddenincline. It seem counter intuative that the cable (tail) would face the front. I failed to pick up on that little detail on page 8 where is shows the perspective picture for the NAZA unit (Aircraft Nose -->) and the text box under the picture of the GPS disc.

NAZA GPS mount & Assistant Software input question.

Bison 52 - You are correct. The openng (gap) between the two plates (top and bottom) is 4cm + the rod heigth to the center of the GPS disc = 11.5 cm

NAZA GPS mount & Assistant Software input question.

I received my GPS unit and it is installed. Assistant software is updated to v1.6 and all seems to be well. I have confirmed calibration of the TX including the GPS / Atti / Manual modes. a. When installing the GPS unit, I have chosen to use the mounting bracket and the rod, effectively placing...

Post Production Softare? What do you use?

Hey Bartman - always good to get your input. Thanks. I may also try FCP as I don't have an Apple and would rather spend money on an upgrade to the Multi-rotor vs a new computer platform that has a single purpose. I've got too much invested in the Windows world to switch. It's also good to know...

Post Production Softare? What do you use?

Thanks jackwrangham. I rebooted and all it loaded. I still get a message about CUDA, but I'll wade through the website to see what I need to do to get it moving.

Post Production Softare? What do you use?

Thanks jackwrangham and DennyR - I downloaded and installed the "davinci resolve - lite" last night but there is a .dll file missing when I try to launch the program so I'll have to re-install it this weekend when I can pay more attention to the extract process.

Post Production Softare? What do you use?

Thanks for your feedback hjls3. I guess I need a tutorial on how to post vimeo videos to the forum. All I see is the link while other posts have the image embedded into the post. I'll read up and see if I can improve.

Post Production Softare? What do you use?

You are correct that it is offered at an ... "interesting price" ... for the body only. Supply your own lens. Still, the packaged list of features makes it an interesting option for those that already own EF/ZE mount lenses.
