    Uavproducs.com reliable supplier?

Ditto.... I strongly recommend UAVProducts as well.... I am very pleased with their service and support.....world class..... I also received an email from http://v-eastonline.com/ who now agrees to ship by US Parcel Service and not exclusively via UPS courier ;-) Too bad HobbyKing US Warehouse...

    Uavproducs.com reliable supplier?

I used to run an international repair business back in the 80's and understand your issues quite well. Your best bet is never to be in a rush and always use US Parcel service. There are still a lot of companies locked into using one courier service for all their shipments. Look like a good...

Question about ESC's for my F450 Build

You won't see a lot of praises on any forum about a product since it is the nature to use a forum to get help with technical issues. The rest are out flying and having fun and don't need the forum. The DJI prop breakage issue is legit. And there are some having issues with the bullet connectors...

    Specifications DJI 2212/920KV

I use the Grauper 9 inch props and just reamed out the center hole of the props to accomodate the OD of the keyed slot. Proper centering will occur once the washer and nut are tightened down on the prop but don't go oversize on the reaming.

    My F800 "Finger Snapper"

I don't think it is the barometer. Do the white flashes disappear when you reduce the payload weight or move weights closer to the center of the airframe? I have a suspicion that the control system cannot accomodate an excessively high MOI, i.e., moment of inertia especially when the MOI is...

    My F800 "Finger Snapper"

What landing gear + gimbal system are you using? Attitude mode is basically the IMU inputs plus the barometer..... so a "fair" status would have to do with those inputs only... I am thinking it has more to do with the barometer than anything else..... are you hovering in ground effect when this...

    Specifications DJI 2212/920KV

"just like everything from China it's just a matter of time"...... I would say today that some things from China may fail in time just like items from any other country. But since China is a signficant distance..... it is good to stock up.

    Extra long F550 arms.

Looks really good..... what landing gear and gimbal system are you using? And how did you attach your landing gear to the airframe?

    Extra long F550 arms.

At this point in time the price from RCTimer is so good that you can consider the center plates as free and spare to your Dji F550 center plates and the holes for assembly match up as well. about $60.... http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=809&productname=

Help - Naza F550 battery life has suddenly halved. Flight time down to 6 minutes

NYDAVE....... I also use the 468 landing gear c/w gimbal as well as a GoPro3 Black...... but I upgraded the motors to NTM1100 , props and increased battery capacity to achieve 11 minutes per flight. The 468 is made with G10 polyester based fiberglass plate which is renowned to be very heavy...

DJI Wookong M - Voltage Monitor - Flight Time Heavy Lifter

I read somewhere in this forum that one can adjust the MR vertical gain so that the MR will drop more slowly on 2nd level battery protection....... Wish I could find that posting.... with considering if it could save a very expensive payload.

    GoPro Hero3 Black

Seems you just joined this forum in March 2013...... you are likely aware but in case not...... using eCalc for multirotors will help a lot to make the right motor, battery and prop purchases the first time...... I made the mistake of guessing initially such that I now have about four undersized...

    GoPro Hero3 Black

The HERO GOPRO3 Black is probably the best fit-for-purpose video camera you could choose for a smaller MR frame size, e.g., F550..... even so, some modifications would be wise to increase the lifting capacity of the MR such as larger motors/props especially if using 2 axis gimbal versus fixed...

can you put things close to you Naza?

Kloner is correct again........ The NAZA controller needs to be located at the physical center and c of g of the airframe. it is the more sophiscated WooKong M/GPS system that allows for the controller or IMU to be offset and is configurable from the WKM Asistant software so as to accomodate the...

    Altitude calibration - when?

The hobby altimeter is simply a self-referencing barometer..... It is a simply measures and stores ambient barometric pressure in it's resting state just before launch or take-off then references that to any subsequent barometric pressure during flight. The difference between the two values is...

5S - Heavy Lift Battery Recommendations?

Kloner..... thanks......Very good information....... I will stick with the Turnigy and/or Nano-Tech batteries for now. Bill Gates refers to these and similar situations as "friction" in the free enterprise system....... Luddites again!

can you put things close to you Naza?

IMHO - Above all put your RC receiver in the best possible place so that the antenna's are not obstructed in any way from the radio transmitter..... then work around that in the placement of other components. In general the RC receiver needs to be close to the edge of the MR bottom plate near...

    Extra long F550 arms.

Aluminum Arms: Aluminum and it's alloys, in particular 6061-T6 aircraft grade alloy is likely the lightest available metal c/w adequate strength and therefore has been widely used for constructing aircraft since before WW2. Remaining excessive weight issues are resolved by "brute force" using...
