    Arming NAZA

I checked the settings in the Tx and the Assistant and everything seems to work as it should. I have a three position switch set for GPS, ATT, and Man, they all turn blue when the switch is set to the corresponding mode. It goes through the status routine and everything seems to work, I get a...

    Arming NAZA

Sorry, the ESC's are RCTimer 30A, motors are Avrotto 2814, Futaba 10CH with S-Bus Rx. Thanks Kloner, all the controls appear to be correct in the GUI. I'll check my trims and end points again.

    Arming NAZA

I had an early NAZA on a Hexacopter and sold it, I'd like to give it another try but I'm having trouble getting the new NAZA to arm. I didn't have any problems arming with the first NAZA and this is the exact same Hexa, ESC's, and motors. I don't think this is a NAZA problem but I'm not...

    Hoverfly Transfer from RCGroups

Thanks Dave. This quad was a Vic450 frame w/Avroto motors, RCTimer ESC's, CC controller, 9" SF Props, Rusty's CM1 landing gear and floating camera mount, and 5800mah 4S battery. I was going to take my FPV and camera gimbal but decided to keep things simple so that it would all fit in one case...

Thanks Paul, appreciate the kind words. I've had my HFP board for about six months and still haven't installed it. I'm sneaking up on it.

Hoverfly First Time Y6 Questions - Props and Batteries

With multirotors you can never have too many props. I change props a lot, once you've decided which motor's, ESC's, frame, etc., the props are the least expensive and easiest thing to change to tune your Y6 to fly the way you want. Not sure how much experience you have with multi's so if I'm...

Hoverfly First Time Y6 Questions - Props and Batteries

I haven't installed the HFP on my Y6, I've been flying it with a CC controller, but other than that I have a similar setup to yours with the GoPro, Avroto's, and 12" SF Props I could hover around 25% with a 4S battery. It flies great but because the power-to-weight ratio is so high its...

I made the switch too, not actually I've been here a while.. Has HF decided to throw the switch?

Thanks. Most of this was shot with the HX9V but the elephant shots were with a NEX5n and an inexpensive variable ND filter, I didn't do much color correcting to this video and you can see the slight pinkish tint.

My point about safety was that it was obvious from your video that you had taken that into consideration and that I was suggesting something that might not have been safe to try. I can't tell you how many videos I've seen from really good pilots that fly directly over people or hover a Hex...

My previous post was in reply to your previous video. Are you controlling the gimbal and the Hex or is there a second camera operator?

Well done, I too liked the editing and overall look of the video. I have a couple of suggestions that you might want to consider. Obviously safety is an AP pilots first priority, I noticed how you didn't appear to fly directly over anyone and stayed a good safe distance, if there's enough...

RCFlying, absolutely stunning. What camera did you use? Its tough posting any video after that.. This was a tuning flight for a Hex and NAZA using a GoPro so there's really only two shots.

Nice footage, which camera did you use?

I don't know how much better that might be than the 5N, but that's quite impressive. Online there's no way to tell that was ISO3200. Does using the slower frame rate make a difference in exposure? Thanks for sharing more of your work with us.

Very nice. There appears to be some weirdness going on with the bottom 3 or 4 scan lines of the NEX7 footage, since it doesn't appear in the ground footage of the NEX7 with a different camera, it's probably not a compression issue. Likely related to stabilization or the NEX7 has a problem...

Great video, looked like a fun day. I agree with Dave, the boom was a bit obtrusive. Couldn't you configure your Hex as a "X" to make the boom less obtrusive? What camera gimbal are you using? Seemed to work well.
