    we waited over a year to get these things..... took so long i lost interest. i'm gonna wait as well, what i saw in pre production didn't seem like they took stability seriously, thing was all over the place in a hover, etc. it did not have that refined tuned look, this was a couple months back...

    there was no freeway, that is taxi cabs on harbor drive on a sunday morning at 4 am....1100mm hex looking at that screen, the two left numbers bouncing around is is the rssi, o is perfect, 100 is leaving,,,,, they are super sensitive,,,,, BAD is bad packets and maintained 0 the whole flight...

    in the US you can fly the 2.4 radios and under 25mw video transmitter without a license, everything else requires a technichian cert..... you study online, cost a few bucks to take the course, usually at local ham clubs

    your gonna wind up making one...... consider battery cycles as well...... mark the packs, count how many cycles, keep track of IR......if your in the usa, get a real pilot log book too and start tracking your time in the sky and the conditions you flew, aprox where it was.

    had a bunch of turbulence today doing high speed stalls, was a kick in the pants,,, my stomach was in my throat for a while there.... did some 55kts flying,,, 5 over Vs1, took so much throw and reaction time to keep it flying along flat and level..... i pretty much got the high speed 45 degree...

    If i stick with flying as a hobby, an r44 would be in my future..... ironicaly enough, I got creamed on my gixxer right in front of my flight school 14 years ago on may 2nd, maybe i'll ditch that day just in case. This place has fun stuff but i've already seen the bad sides a few times...

    this has an amazing atti mode,,, alt hold, self level, but it's gps as in hold works bitchen, smooth transitions, doesn't hop around, holds wihtin inches, looks like a gigantic tripod.... like a radio, it has a switch so it's not always on..... the entire way of dealing with a hoverfly is so...

    the best thing this does is gps mode flight. To me the hfp is the most stressful flight controller i ever tried, but it made great footage. Stressful to fly though. i still got em sitting here but i'l never use them again. Synapse has my attention

    my observation and understanding is you want the knob gain to be closest to 30, on mine use +30 -30 on the endpoints and i barely move the adjustment to hit 30-40..... then the rest of the gain is handled with the gui,,,, gain till stable, flies best
