This post may be deleted. I was used to running my EZUHF from a futaba ff9. The EZUHF ran from the futabas battery but with the JR 11x I have to use an external power supply for the ezuhf.....so turning my transmitter off was not killing the signal, just killing the ppm stream...........IDIOT.

Just done another bench test without props. If I set the motors going and then leave the throttle low the motors seem to hunt up and down for 4-5 seconds before finally settling down. This is what they did on the flight before it fired off up into the air. Is this meant to happen? is it just...

Hi Robvree Thanks for the help matey. Not sure on the LED, it was blinking yellow, then pausing, then blinking I think.... The motors definately cut off completely. I do have it set to Immediately rather than intelligent cut off, but the throttle was above 10% Bench testing all the motors...

I have checked for the props and can fit APC 13x4.7, giving a higher disc loading, which i hear the WKM likes......if i decide on the DJI that is. Has anybody been succesful with heavy platform stability and the DJI?? Cheers Alex

Ross, Ecalc takes that into account, it gives you an expected flight time for the whole system after looking at draw from each motor, battery capabilities, weight, props used, esc capabilities, motor running temp etc etc. http://www.ecalc.ch/xcoptercalc_e.htm
