This looks like a very clear, clean log showing the motors being given strange commands. I initial wondered if the A2 browned out or locked, the watchdog timer then should reset the MCU, but if the MCU locked I would suspect the PWM to drop out thus stopping the motors. The PWM is software...

Old Man, when you say a Wookong FC will not provide stability. is this because it is unable to change the RPM quick enough to stabilize due to low RPM and rotational mass? Looking at this in terms of varying RPM to thrust , as this is actual what is happening. Since the props are large...

Quinton, I suspect they are using two packs in series giving 10 cells. To test the thrust I used a weighing scale, the type you hang weights from. This was anchored to the ground and then attached to the Heli. When the Heli is powered it it is pulling on the scales. This is a little hairy as it...

Now when I think about it, the current demand for higher frequencies is unlikely to be the issue. Since Micro processors oscillators are are not dynamic, they always operate at the same speed.

    Accident with Octocopter

As mentioned ESC determine the cell count by the initial power on voltage. It needs to know what type of cells you are using to do this. For example set to Ni, it uses a formula 1.2V = 1 Cel 2.4V = 2 cels and so on. set to Li 3.7V = 1 cel............22.2V = 6 cells... and so on. Ok cells...

A2 FC Firmware 2.3 - Here We ALL go Again

Just to let you know I have managed to replicate the A2 failure I had as mentioned yesterday. I have posted the results under MombasaFlash's A2 Problem Catalogue, as I felt this was a more appropriate location...

A2 Vibration Test results. HI all, on the “A2 FC Firmware 2.3 - Here We ALL go Again” thread I suggested a test. I thought this is a better place to post the results. I wanted to see if I could reproduce the IMU lockup I had with my Cinistar 8. What I mean by IMU lock is, I was lucky enough to...

Product Review ** JETI HiCopter 30A Opto ESC

Jeti recommend installing an additional capacitor every 20cm along the power line if you extend the wires when using using low-impedence electric motors (1-2 turns). Thank you VERY much for your review. Most appreciated and very helpful.

Actual it's better because at 50% Pwm it is a 6.43% loss. This is not far off 12Kg which is close to my total AUW.

Ferdinand Thank you very much for your reply. Since I posted about 4 hours ago I realized it would be an easy test to quickly modify my Cinistar 8 Flat to a 8X configuration. I did NOT take off the extra 4 booms, just left them on for speed. I was VERY presently suppressed at the results...

A2 FC Firmware 2.3 - Here We ALL go Again

I should certainly hope Dji would be beyond floating point, stack overflow and divide by zero stage well before starting the company. Perhaps this phenomenon don't effect underwater photography. (WETPIXEL just in case you did not know where Dji started from).

A2 FC Firmware 2.3 - Here We ALL go Again

Ah I have just had an idea. I happen to have a vibration plate I use to test the systems I develop. The plate's frequency is controllable through my frequency generator. Since I have another 3 A2s which I WON'T BE USING now.... I could mount an IMU onto the plate and simulate a flight. I will...
