Lipo 1 big or 2 small

Need some advice regarding purchase of more batteries for my Tarot 810 with gH3/z15. I purchased it s/h with 1 nearly new 16000 Tattu and 2 pairs of well used 5000 haiyin 30/40c. From a full charge with i308duo (mini led voltage alarm set to 3.7v & naza is also set to 22.2v) I get just 8.5 mins...

    Maintenance of motors?

Good info, thanks guys. Reckon I can tackle the motors with confidence now :-) Does there exist here, a list or a discussion of service tasks with recommended intervals for a typical pro level MR? I am keeping a log of flight times and watching for degradation in the batteries etc but difficult...

    Maintenance of motors?

Thanks for the links, I'm really confused by all the choices now :-} Rubber seal, dust seal, rubber seal on one side and open or shielded on the other. Heavy steel, ceramic coated or full ceramic lightweights with all the side protection options already mentioned...... Is there a bearing expert...

    Maintenance of motors?

For peace of mind I'm going to take advice and change the bearings. These are the only ones I have been able to find so far. http://www.acerracing.com/ball_bearings/4x11mm_CERAMIC_BALL_BEARING-1200-30.html Are they suitable? Looks like they need lubrication. Also Barts bearing press looks...

    Maintenance of motors?

Ha, I wasn't aware that the bearings could be changed on what I suppose are budget motors. I'll look into it. Still need some idea of how to assess wear. Does this type of motor exhibit any signs before failure? They seem to run smooth enough. Could be that some motors have a little play from new?

    Maintenance of motors?

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate that opinions may be divided on lubrication. Looks to me as though the Tarot motors have dust covers, not seals. May be wrong though. It's the "indicate wear" bit that I'm unsure about. They run smooth but I am unsure wether to be concerned about the play that...

    Maintenance of motors?

I am wondering how to check and maintain my motors. I recently bought a second hand Tarot 810 with the Tarot 4114 motors. Now, I'm unsure of how much flying time this machine has clocked up and know that at least one of the motors has been changed so possibly high mileage? Non of the motors...

    AVin issue on Black Pearl

Well I cut several cables (video and audio) and systematically tried all combinations, nothing! No signal at all when the jack is pushed fully home. I find that a short audio cable gives best image on my other monitor setup with avl58 receiver and works well with the black pearl when just...

    AVin issue on Black Pearl

Ah, thankyou. I'll have a play. I had heard that you need to use the cables that come with the unit but both cables seem standard and work fine on other monitors. Didn't occur to me that wiring would be anything other than universal standard "rolleyes" Not much info on this, guessing not many...

    AVin issue on Black Pearl

Has anyone had issues with the AVin on a Black Pearl? Been using the diversity receiver but now got new bird and need to use AVin. Supplied, and aftermarket, video (3.5mm to 3x RCA) cables give fair image when inserted by a few mm (ie insecure) but nothing when pushed fully home. All cables...

    Sub7kg for DSLR Wiltshire

I just can't wait for Align to bother replying to my emails so have done the deed and got a Tarot t810. Glad I did now, it's a beautifully crafted machine. Wonder how many others will do the same? Reckon Align are snowed under trying to sort the inevitable first round of teething problems with...

The downfall of using a rectilinear (5.4mm) lens/gopro

A circular polarizing filter will have minimal effect at removing that kind of flare,ie. directly toward the sun. The 5.4 lens has a narrower field of view so tailoring as long a lens hood as possible to shade the lens/filter will clean up some of that flare. Your lens and filters need to be...

    Sub7kg for DSLR Wiltshire

Hi all, I've been toying with the idea of a UAV for some time now, I have been flying fpv mini quads for fun and it's now time to get serious. I have been soaking up as much information as possible but being green I'm finding the whole shebang to be quite bewildering. I'm in search of a sub 7kg...

    Wiltshire newbie

Hi another newbie. Im Rup and I'm based in Wiltshire. Been lurking for a while and flying a mini quad (MQX) with fpv to get the hang of manual flight. Now looking to expand to a rig capable of carrying a small DSLR. Don't want to get into asking Qs in an introduction post so will ask in other...
