Cannot get naza to arm motors please help

If you are not getting very much air time with one battery, add another in parallel to solve both problems..... Effective use of Ecalc for MRs will help you to determine the best path forward....... Another strategy to reduce rpm is to reduce the number of cells per battery. It also reduces...

    Hot speed controllers

IMHO - there remains several possibilities........ a) Motors and ESCs get hotter and hotter as airtime increases (normal) b) sudden rpm corrections drive up current demand..... smooth running hover keeps current demand lower. c) g force increases rapidly when recovering from downward...

Aebiago - Where can I buy your work? PBS produced an aerial video of Italy highlights years ago and it was spectacular.... It was done by helicopter with a pro videographer on board.... But quite frankly, your work is clearly superior.....If you have a lengthier, e.g., 20 or 30 minute video...

S800 Return to Home won't work.

Recalibrating Digital compass in GPS module DJI does not explain this at all. Use the following tool to determine if/when to recalibrate your digital compass....... In general the angle of declination changes substantially as you move east or west...... (North and South? not so much) but...

    Hot speed controllers

Motor startup current can peak around 200% of the normal running current..... 11 inch props are too big for the 30amp escs. Also you are carrying too much payload weight for these Escs. Ecalc for MRs will tell you that if you input your data correctly. Invest in 45 amp Turnigy Multistar ESCs or...

    bump, bump, bumpin along

Need more info to answer your question..... What is your AUW - all up weight? Did you run your design thru eCalc for Multicopters? Motor startup current can be up to 200% of the normal running current..... eCalc will tell you if your ESCs are overloaded...... QUOTE=atpfilms;114227]I've been...

Cannot get naza to arm motors please help

You need a minimum of 7 channels to work with the NAZA and/or the WKM controller....... Also the cheap Park Flyer RC radios have a very limited range.....as compared to a proper 2.4 Ghz fhss system such as the Spectrum or Futaba 2.4Ghz.......Invest in a good RC radio system and you will be able...

    Strange WKM behaviour FW 5.20

Anyone else with the RCT800 having these issues? Subsequent adjustments and test flight provide slightly improved results but the MR takes almost forever to land after RTH hovering over the takeoff location. Moved all landing gear weights closer to the center of the airframe.....ensured CofG is...

Drone used for power line inspection...

The short magic wand is used to safely release electrostatic discharge created by the Helicopter rotor..... which acts like a giant vandegraaf generator..... just enough static to make a worker lose his grip or foothold and fall etc. or even worse.... A real Heli plus pilot and one skilled...

new and suffering from info overload....

IMHO - go with a large Quadrocopter which will allow you to use more efficient 22 pole motors and longer props at a lower rpm...... optimizes airtime efficiency and also helps to keep the noise level down to a manageable level. A same size hex will force you to go with smaller props and higher...

New s800 pilot - wookong failsafe question

While there has always been much in common between the WKM and the NAZA controller.... there are just enough differences to trick the mind during Assistant configuration and bench testing..... and now even more so with the migration of several WKM features down into the NAZA..... While I was...

Drone used for power line inspection...

There was another thread on this a short time ago initiated by someone from New Zealand..... He had lost his MR from flying too close the powerlines while doing aerial video/photo inspections of wooded crossbars.... EMI and/or RFI seemed to be the culprit when using 2.4 Ghz fhss within 2 meters...

    Well-read Newcomer Questions: FPV / GoPro / Gimbal / Radio & Transmitter

I have the XT468 landing gear c/w with the recommended Hitec mini servos and am very happy with that system until I switched up to a brushless gimbal system but that was heavier and required a larger 800 mm Multirotor with bigger motors and props......see my ad in the classified section if you...

High altitude F550 hexacopter crash after motors stop. Anyone know why?

Is your camera on a separate IMU controlled gimbal system? If not, then your Multirotor was somehow able to retain upright position all the way to the ground. If the motors stopped, it would tumble end over end.:dread:

Multirotor Design Theory? Shape / Mass / CG / Symmetry?

To avoid overloading/overheating one or more of the Multirotor motors, it is best to have the static center of pressure and the center of gravity at the same point in x,y,z axes....I believe your item 5 question applies to rocketry and most other aircraft...

S800 Return to Home won't work.

Thanks for your help...... I retraced all of my steps and made a very slight slight adjustment to COG then recalibrated the digital compass in a nearby abandoned soccer field away from vehicles etc. did a quick flight and tweaked the gains a bit in the air ..... but ran out of time for another...

S800 Return to Home won't work.

Yes.... waited for all red flashes to end...then took off in GPS mode with cyan leds flashing rapidly.... flew for a couple of minutes at a distance from takeoff position, activated RTH and it turned around, heading back over the original takeoff position but then began to climb.....and...
