Pilot reports mystery black ‘drone’ at JFK

If it is true, they should lock that irresponsible idiot away for a long time....... But there are a few things that are a little suspicious: The landing speed of a big airplane is about 160mph / 260 kmh.....compared to that the speed of a Multirotor is next to nothing, so it's basically...

    Motor alignment tips and tricks

The easiest way fastest way is to use (like already mentioned) a digital gauge: http://www.woodworkingtalk.com/f24/digital-angle-gauge-buy-11864/ For me this is the only way to get my motors fast in a +3° / - 3° position (depending if CW or CCW) . There is different theories if you should...

So happy now that I know my nuts won't fall off

heheheh.....but if you stick to my method, you won't have any problems, even on the carbon props. Problems only occure once people wrench the nut down until the spanner starts to bend....But in general try to stay away from carbon props. They flex too much and are usually way overpriced. For...

“iOS Ground station” and “iOS assistant software” beta test

Just try to write an email directly to DJI with reference to this forums post......DJI's customer care is somehow very mystical. Some folks here reported fast respons from DJI, some never got any answers. You can also try to get any infos through a good dealer. Try these ones...

So happy now that I know my nuts won't fall off

Although I was using a torque wrench, it turned out it was too much hassle in every day business....different prop materials need different torque to be tight, always forgot the wrench when I went out flying.... The easiest way is as follows: Put a little ammount of blue thread locker (or use...

Do you use "Thread locker" on F550 Propeller Nuts? - CRASH -!

Just turn the nylock upside down.....that way it's doing the same job, but the plastic insert will be on the prop side and be fully used. Chris

Naza GPS and Futaba 8FG and R6208SB RX not playing nicely together.

Good to hear that it's heading the right way. If your bird is behaving "normal" but you have some sort of soft or sluggish response to your sticks, try to increase the gain settings.....but only in small steps. This should make your bird more responsive. Chris
