Thats the difference between GH3 and GH4. With GH3 you can Record progressive and output interlaced via HDMI. With the GH4 that is not possible. GH4 output the same format via HDMI you selected for recording. so the only setting working with the current Zenmuse converter is AVCHD 50i.

Sure with HD Downlink you bypass the internal converter. You have to bypass it anyway, when you plan to transmit progressive. With a HD Downlink or the Red V2 converter for BM Pocket which you can find on ebay

No balancing needed just put the GH4 in GH3 - it works But HDMI converter of the GH3 will not work, with most settings. The Zen Converter only support interlaced Settings. GH4 output the same signal via HDMI you selected for recording. So the only setting would be AVCHD 50i 17mpbs with GH4.

So what is the latency with the Bolt? Under 10ms? Is the Bolt supporting black burst or tri level sync?

Olympus M.Zuiko 12mm. Rokinon 7,5mm with the Zenmuse you don't need OIS. Panny lenses look to sharp in my opinion.
