I can help you with this... The Mavic Pro has bigger propellers to produce more lift because it is heavier meaning it needs to push more air to keep it up meaning it is indeed louder! To read more about how the 2 drones compare you checkout my detailed comparison right here.

Maybe you can get a carbon fiber protection board for your Mavic from here and attach the name plate to it. That way you can make sure that you are not screwing it to the wrong place and it helps in protecting your drone as well

Just stick to it and you will get good at it in no time!

I just saw this GREAT deal on the DJI Phantom 3 standard for only $339. It is officially refurbished but it is as good as new. Can't get any better than this

Can be a great number of things...to really figure it out you have to do the "pre flight check" and check everything...twice. Start with the basics like re-calibration and wire connections and go from there. Good luck
