    Join FAG

Love this one. Great use of stars :) But lets think bigger.... International Multirotor Association... and lets ditch the red white and blue and make it all black. More hearts too. Everyone loves hearts. What you think?

    fpv question for English flyers

They do know what they are talking about. The rules are different depending on where you transmit from. You can transmit above 25mw as long as it's from the ground, that is where the radio license comes into play. Now when you fly from the air.... that is a completely different set of rules...

    fpv question for English flyers

Source? I believe you are incorrect. Having a ham license does not exempt you from a 25mw limit on the 5.8Ghz band which is reserved for air to ground communication.

    fpv question for English flyers

I use a 600mw VTX on 5.8Ghz, to be honest I don't think anyone is bothered about the 25mw legal limit here. Plenty of shops in the UK sell "illegal" VTX's That being said, with a spironet patch and an antenna tracker, you can do several KM with a 25mw VTX. I would suggest FirstPersonView.co.uk...

Aeronavics / Droidworx New Build Planned - SkyJib-X4 Heavy Retractable

That is a very interesting observation because we always have windy conditions here in the UK. So the coaxial with a good gimble should out perform an octo when the wind is up? I was considering the s800 because I have a small car and it packs up into a smallish case. But a coaxial will be...

Which hot glue gun do you use

Get whatever is in your local hardware store. There isn't much to a hot glue gun, just different sizes depending on how much glue you need to dispense at any one time. I got a mid sized one, takes large sticks of glue and keeps up. The smaller ones leave you waiting sometimes.

Aeronavics / Droidworx New Build Planned - SkyJib-X4 Heavy Retractable

What is the benefit of a co-axial X-4 compared to a 8 arm? I understand it's smaller, but other than size? Do they have the same level of flight stability and performance as an 8 arm?

    £2-3k airframe?

Firstly, apologies, I'm sure there have been a thousand similar threads.....I have been looking around for some weeks now but not 100% sure on what I should get. I am a RC hobbyist with 15 years flight experience, most recently I have a number of FPV aircraft including Quadcopters, tricopters...

Naza GPS - Slight back/left drift before solid hover

My Naza drifts. More the first time I enable GPS, the second time it tends to be rock solid depending on my GPS link.

    EuroUSC BNUC-S Advice needed!!

Hi Andrew, Yes I have been watching the Alex Mos development since I first saw his test videos, nice to see we have a home grown board licensed by DesireRC.... So yes that would be a great option. I suppose it depends who you ask, the testing centre will of course say that any modification...

    EuroUSC BNUC-S Advice needed!!

I want to be as flexible as possible, so whilst I may be able to do some jobs solo, I want to have the capability for a two man setup with live down link, so that is what I will be developing my system to do. I understand that the certificate is type specific, so if I had a s800 with a gopro...

    EuroUSC BNUC-S Advice needed!!

I am also about to buy and airframe and prepare for the bnuc-s. I'm a long time hobby flyer and photographer. Not worried about the flight or technical aspects at all. Just hoping I can cram all the various CAA information in my brain. If anyone has any advice I would most appreciate it. I'm...
