No comparison. The GH4 is heads and shoulders above the X3 or X5. The X5 is a little better than the GH4 but there is still many many more advantages to the GH4. Bitrate is at least double. @Jumpy07 has done some comparison work.

Your PFAW is now essentially type approved so if you have sub7 (for example) you can add or remove platform to your ops manual as you see fit. Up date your ops manual accordingly but no need to send to the CAA until renewal time. You only need to flight test it through an NQE if they require...

There is no requirement to renew an NQE membership. If you want to keep the BNUC for business reasons hen you have to renew through them. I think you'll find the other NQE's are being very pragmatic and helpful. There is ICARUS and WhisperCAM now as well as full NQE's.

There are many peculiarities with the GH4 live view I'm afraid. Just be methodical and make notes. I tried to use a blackpearl on the handlebars of my Ronin the other day and could only get it to show on the BP in one of the recording modes. Happy fiddling!
