A year ago, we had a photographer do a shoot at work, we ended up talking about hexacopters so we showed him ours and he was fascinated. Last month we used him again and he let drop that he'd been on a shoot up a mountain where they used a drone to spectacular effect and the above is the back story.

I have a mate who is SF (special forces) & I was talkign with him last night before he gets deployed to Afghan again, he was telling me about the new quads they are using. Flown by a tablet & range of 5Km, automated landings & all sorts. He did tell the civvy instructor that I fly an octo & so the instructor let him play around with a tiny little quad..about the size of your palm. He said it caries 3 cameras including a night sight one!!!! Would love to get my hands on that for a play about.
Anyone know the make & name of these new quads...Canadian built from what I hear?

Good find Andy, yes I presume thats the one from what he told me...what a bit of kit!!!! They even have one that can carry a bomb, drop it & return home all on auto!!

I like this! Quads are smaller and lighter than Hexa/Octo setups. It weighs only 3 pounds!? Nice!
